Time sure does fly by, it's already been a week since Y/N was last in school. Since the shoe accident she hasn't been around, which might I add, is extremely unusual for her.
She rarely misses school and has never been late before, well thats what it was like the last 17 years. Only one week was able to changed everything. Y/N has been sitting at home, in her bed, thinking about everything that's been happening. Jeongin really was a nice guy, but something about him just didn't fit in with her. It's like she couldn't stand him, no matter what she - or he - did. Even if they somehow ended up spending endless of hours together - joking around and what not - even if Y/N would enjoy herself when with him, have fun, they just weren't made for each other - but that's okay.
In the end it comes down to wether you like or love someone. Let's say you and your best friend are made for each other, that doesn't mean you have to date, right? It's just like soulmates. A soulmate for all we know could be your mother, a classmate, maybe just some random dude you met at Starbucks, a soulmate can be anybody as long as you get along and help each other out. It's as simple as that.
Unfortunately in our case(143) the two aren't soulmates and there is no way you can miss that.

"Mom, I'll be going out for a bit." Despite hearing me she didn't respond, just like I thought. My mother has been upset with me and didn't know what to do, she wasn't even talking with me - and all that just because of school. With a sigh I made my way to the front door and slipped on my sneakers, well that's what I wanted to do. Right, Yang still has my shoe.. I sighed yet again and took off the shoe I just slipped into. Where are my Boots? I really need to get my shoe back, they're my favorite as well. I thought as I walked around in the small room - trying to find my only other pair of shoes.

I was sitting on a bench in a nearby park, enjoying the rather fresh air, thinking about life - as you do. The trees swayed with the wind, leaves made their way to the ground and birds flew in the sky - occasionally singing with one another. It was just like in the movies, so relaxing, but of course something - or someone - had to ruin it.
"Y/n? What are you doing here?" "huh- oh Seungmin ssi. I thought you were Yang for a second." Upon seeing who the stranger was - and realizing it's just Min - I turned my head back forward and let it rest against the wood of the bench. "I'm not Innie, why would you think that? Am I that cute?" I chuckled at his statement. "Nah, sorry not sorry but you aren't." "So you admit that Jeongin is cute?" Seungmin asked - a smirk visible on his lips - as he decided to sit down next to me. Cute? Yang Jeongin? I never really looked at him like that actually, I mean I've interacted with him quite a lot but I never actually saw him as anything else than annoying. "Why so quiet? Is it true?"
"Shut it, you both just aren't cute." "Whatever. You gonna be in school on Monday?" Seungmin was quick to change the topic, most probably feeling a bit upset that I didn't find him cute - like everyone else in our neighborhood. Keep this between us, but he actually is kinda cute. "I guess I should, I can't stay at home forever." I let out the third sigh that hour and looked over at Seungmin. I don't think anyone from our school knows that we're friends, it's understandable though - someone like me and the fuck boy? Yeah you wouldn't expect that. Though I must say, we didn't just start talking out of nowhere. We both weren't those kind of people, we only talk to others or strangers if we need something from them - and in our case(143) he had a bet on me. He bet that he would be able to get in my pants, but that didn't go as planned - that's why we just started talking. Outside of school he is quiet different, he has a nice personally although he prefers not to show it and instead goes around cat calling people.. maybe I am wrong about that. It sure does sound like he is just the typical fuck boy.
"Why were you even home in the first place? It's not like you. Everything alright..?" He didn't like showing how much he cared, it was also not like him to ask - especially me - stuff like that. Imagine the bet was still going on and he's trying to get in my pants through talking! Ha, that would be funny.. "Getting soft now are we?" I chuckled again after seeing his reaction. "Nevermind. I'll get going. See you on Monday." Or maybe not.
What Seungmin said really got me thinking, do I find Jeongin cute? I mean.. he is nice - sometimes - but I don't think he looks cute, or do I? I guess his smile is cute - also the fact that he smiles so often - it makes him look more approachable. The way his eyes seemingly disappear when laughing is honestly amazing, how can once look so good when laughing? I look - and sound - like a dying donkey. Maybe I should actually look more at him - just don't make it too noticeable. He'll think you're checking him out and I'd rather not deal with that conversation.
A honk of a nearby car got me fully back into reality, I should head back and finish the last bits of school work - it's good I already got stuff done this morning. Now I don't have to do that much. Not to flex, but in all honesty - even though I haven't been at school for literally a week - I had little to no school work I needed to finish, I've done them all already. What can I say, I just have my life together.

I'm about to have a mental breakdown. Why the fuck does math exist?! Why the fuck do I even exist- oh my god. I can't do this no more, I am going to sleep. This is a problem for future Jeongin, I won't deal with this tonight. I just wanna sleep.

You best believe the young boy did not do his homework the following day, nor the day after as it was already Monday. The day things would actually change for our two protagonists.
