CHAPTER 33 : Mother and Son

"Pardon?"

That was the first word that came out from Sachiko after for a whole minute they both went silent, the woman who still had a surprised expression while the blonde boy who still loyally looked at her in the eyes.

Accepting all the consequences he will get after he told her the truth.

It's either she will accept him or leave him.

In that way, Draken had to face that with sincere from his heart.

"I'm actually your long lost son, Ryuguji Ken, your friend, L/n Sara. She's my mother's friend and she told me about you, about us."

Sachiko didn't know how to impress, "I-I..."

"Let me speak first." Draken started again, of what he always wanted to tell to his own mother.

"In the beginning I didn't want to tell you who I was but part of me said that if I didn't tell you at this moment, I might lose my chance again, to face you and to know you."

Draken look down at his palm where he place it on the table, "Don't get the wrong idea, doesn't mean I exposed of who I am, that I want to live with you like a mother and a child, I just want you to know that your son is still alive, exist, and he is doing fine here living in Tokyo."

This time, it made Sachiko loss of words when Draken showed his smile, but it was bitter, hidden sadness was plastered on his face.

"You have your own life in Dubai and I won't disturb you for that, as long as I know what my mother looks like and you seem like a good person, that's enough for me."

His mother was about to reply but before she could, Draken suddenly got up from his seat and surprisingly took out a piece of money. "Thank you for the meal and our conversation, it helped me a lot."

Sachiko already opened her mouth but she plastered a panicked terrified look when her son no longer left her right away, him already on his way towards outside of the cafe.

When Draken really did already go out, he then loosen his tie and unbutton his shirt due to the sweat he got from the nervousness earlier. "Sh*t, that was—"

"WAIT!!"

The tattooed guy jolted in surprise when his tuxedo was pulled from the back, automatically making him turn around to see his mother again who is way shorter than him.

Draken blinks his eyes, "Uh Sachiko-san—"

"After you tell me the truth that you are Ryuguji Ken and you are my son, you're just gonna leave me like that?!"

Now it's his turn to be the one who is surprised, because Draken didn't have a second thought that Sachiko would chase after him.

"You don't know how much I was devastated that I was so afraid I won't be able to see you anymore..."

"What?"

"If Sara told you all about me, then it's the truth! I left you on the day you turned three, I'm so sorry, I had no choice, I was only a young-broken high schooler back then, and if I want to raise you, I need money to take care of you so I had to go to Dubai to achieve my dreams."

Sachiko then places her two hands on his arms, holding him so he won't go away.

"It was the hardest choice that I ever made, between loving and taking care of you with my condition, who is nothing but trash, or to leave you first so I'll be back again to get you one day, Ken."

Draken couldn't believe she is now telling the whole reason of why she left and it was because of him.
