Chapter 23:
A few days later, I'm still in my room. And I'm fucking bored.
I decided to call Hailee because when I asked her to stay, she stayed with me until Brie got back.
She said that for now she'll leave me alone so I can have a little space. And I'm glad because I needed it.
She made sure that I would call her if I needed anything. About my physical and mental health and even if I just wanted ice cream or pancakes she would be here right away.
But I haven't asked her anything. She still asked me to send her a text before going to sleep to see if I'm okay and I did just that.
But today I have a weird feeling. Well not really I just miss her a lot.
So I decided to call her.
Her face showed up on the screen. « Y/n? Are you okay?! » she asked worried. « I'm fine »
« I'm glad you're fine but do you need anything? » she asked.
« No. Not really » I shrugged. « okay... so how have you been? » she smiled softly.
« Well my corset is annoying me. I'm just in bed all day and I'm bored. But I watched all of the marvel movies again » I smiled proudly.
« Heyyy we said we would watch them together »
« Well you left before we had the time » I said and immediately regretted it when I saw her sad look.
« I'm sorry » I said sighing « no no you're right. Don't apologize for something that is not your fault »
« Anyway, how have you been? » I changed the subject.
« Well I'm at my hotel. I don't really do anything. Flo just came see me a few times »
« Why are you not doing anything? »
« Well I don't really want to. I just watch movie with snacks and that's it »
I nodded and an awkward silence followed. « Maybe we could watch movies together? » she asked with an hopeful look.
« You don't need to say yes if you don't want to of course » she added.
« Okay. Why not I'm bored anyway and it can maybe make me forget the corset and my wrist »
Yes because I have a cast on my right wrist.
« yes cool thank you! » she said excited making me chuckle.
« Should I come to your house? » she asked.
« Actually, what about we go to the cinema? »
« Sure if you feel like it! Text me the movie and the hour and I'll come pick you up »
« Sounds good! See you Haiz » I smiled and she smiled back before I hang up.
I looked on internet and picked a random movie in an hour. I texted Hailee and she sent me thumbs up so I started getting ready.
When she's here, she comes in the apartment to help me to get in the car because it's complicated with my injuries.
« Did you take your medicine? » she asked and I shook my head.
« Okay here » she handed me the box with my medicine and I thanked her.
When I take all my things, we get out and she drives us to the cinema.
The drive was silent but it wasn't uncomfortable, just calming.
When we arrived, we saw paparazzi taking pictures of us but I don't mind them.
I just try to ignore them and their articles. « you okay? » Hailee asked « yes and you »
« I hate paparazzi » she sighed « I do too but it's okay, just let them talking you don't care » I said and she nodded.
« You're right » she smiled. We walked inside the cinema and paid before going in the movie room.
We sit next to each other and start talking a little.
« Why did you choose this movie? » she asked « I don't know it was the sooner and the first one I saw » I shrugged and she chuckled.
« Brie wasn't here. You're not comfortable being alone? » she asked and I nodded « it's better than a week ago but it's still weird »
« I'm sure you'll get better with time. You're such a strong woman. And if you need anything I'm here okay? »
« Yes. Thank you » I smiled a little. After a few more minutes, the lights went off and the movie started.
After a few minutes, we quickly understood that the movie was bad so we started laughing together. We threw popcorn at each other and we laughed so hard that the other people in the room started to be annoyed with us.
We are literally crying of laughing and my ribs hurt but I don't care because I haven't laughed like this since a while.
In the middle of the movie, we decided to leave before people kill us.
« Oh god » I tried to breathe as I whipped my tears.
« I almost died » she laughed.
« come on let's get ice cream » she said and I nodded trying to stop laughing.
« Why are we even laughing? » I said « I don't even remember » she laughed.
We walked in the street of New York and we got ice creams.
We ate them while walking and talking. « Come on, you have to rest and you can't walk for too long » she said and I nodded because she's right. I'm struggling with walking right now.
We walked back to the car and she drove us to a place that I don't know.
« Where are we going? » I asked « you'll see » she said making me roll my eyes.
« Heyy don't roll your eyes miss Larson you're gonna love the place I'm taking you to »
After a while we arrived to a cliff. The cliff she took me to on our first date.
I sighed remembering the good moment we spend there.
We got out of the car and she handed me her jacket since there's a lot of wind.
« Thanks » I smiled. We got out of the car and sat in front of the car just like the first time.
We watched the sunset in silence until she broke it « you're so beautiful » I just blushed so hard.
« And you're cute » she added with a small chuckle. « Thank you. I think you're beautiful too » I whispered but she clearly heard it because of the smile she has on her face.
I see her shuffling next to me a little. I smiled to myself knowing that she wants to get closer to me.
Our legs are now touching and she's awkwardly touching her neck.
« between you and me you're the one who's cute » I chuckled and she blushed.
Since I'm nice and I really really miss her touch and her comfort, I put my head on her shoulder. I feel her tense at first but quickly get comfortable and she hesitantly put her arm around my waist.
And like this, we watch the sun set together.
Even if this doesn't mean that I'm forgiving her, it brings me a lot of comfort and I needed it.
