Chapter 24:
A few days later
Today Brie announced me that she invited all my friends tonight for a party.
I haven't seen Hailee since the cliff but we've been calling and talking over the phone every day.
But right now, she's here because of the party.
So we're in my room trying to find me something to wear.
« What about this? » She showed me a short black dress with long sleeves.
« I think I want to wear a pants » « no problem » she comes back a few seconds later with a black long pants, a white crop top and a black blazer.
« Okay I'll wear this » I go shower, put the outfit on and get out of the bathroom.
I look at Hailee who's like frozen. Which make me insecure.
« You don't like it? It looks bad? I knew it! I'm gonna change »
« Are you kidding me? You look absolutely amazing. God I'm so dumb » she said making me raise an eyebrow confused.
« What? »
« I left. I left someone like you. If I didn't you would probably be mine right now but you're not because I'm so dumb. You don't deserve me I'm sorry »
I feel my heart breaking at her words. I know that she feel guilty and she regret her choice but I can't. I'm still so scared.
« Listen Hailee » I said crouching down in front of the bed where she's sitting.
« You have a chance to be mine again and I have a chance to be yours. But I need time, I'm scared that you'll leave me again. How can I be sure that you won't leave? »
« You- you can't be sure. You just have to trust me. And I understand if you need time but- just remember that I love you »
Wow. That's the first time she say that she loves me.
« I love you y/n. And I only understood this when I left you. Because it was so hard without you. But I- I'm scared too y/n. I'm so scared that you'll leave me and if you do, I'll literally be broken. I know it sound selfish especially when I did exactly this to you but it's just because I was scared »
« I think you have a strong fear of being abandoned Hailee. And you're right, it was really dumb of you to leave me but if at one point we get back together, I swear I won't leave you. Never Hailee. Do you understand me? I'll never because I know how hard it is » I said and she let a few tears escape her eyes.
« I'm sorry y/n. I regret what I did » she cried and I nodded « I know » I said putting my forehead on hers.
« How about we head downstairs? I think the guests are already there »
I wipe her tears and take her hand and we get in the living room.
A few members of the marvel cast are here, Ella hunt from Dickinson and a few member of the original and legacies are here too. And a few of my friends as well.
« AND THERE SHE IS » RDJ screamed making me laugh.
« Hi Robert » I said letting Hailee's hand go to hug him.
« You scared us » he whispered in my ear « I know but I'm okay »
Sebastian, Anthony, the two Chris and the 2 Tom come hug me for a group hug.
« Guys I can't breathe » I laughed.
« Okay do you want a drink?? » Robert asked me
« I don't know if it's reasonable » I shrugged « who cares you just got on a car crash » he said and I chuckled.
« True. Okay I guess » « just one » Brie screamed from the other side of the room.
I go say hi to everyone and see- Jennifer Aniston??! FREAKING JENNIFER ANISTON!! with Gwyneth Paltrow and Paul Rudd.
« oh my god Hailee » I whispered shaking her. « are you okay » she immediately asked concerned.
« I'm okay but look this is Jennifer Aniston!! I'm a big fan of her since I was a kid! » she laughed « go talk to her then »
« What?? No I'm awkward when I'm shy » she takes my hand and we walk towards them.
« Y/N heyy » Gwyneth said hugging me « hi thanks for coming » « We're glad that you're okay. We invited Jennifer hope you don't mind »
"Of- Of course not. It's really nice to meet y-you" I awkwardly said making Hailee laugh.
« Yep you're awkward when you're shy » she said making me blush « bitch » I glared gently at her « I'm sorry miss Aniston, I'm just a big fan »
« Oh please call me Jen » she smiled softly. « I've heard about the accident, how are you? » she asked.
« I'm fine. I have a wrist-cast and a corset for my broken ribs but I'm fine. My family and friends are here for me so it's easy to recover » I said and she smiled.
« Im really glad that you're okay. Your sister asked me to come because you're a big fan of me » she said mimicking Brie making me laugh.
« She's right and I'm so happy to meet you. I've loved you since I'm a kid I remember having posters of you everywhere in my room » we chuckled and she smiled.
« You know, I think that you're an incredible actress and you'll be the future of Hollywood industry. Just like you Hailee and Florence as well. I follow your work since your beginning and I'm impressed by the progress you've made » she said and I squealed taking Hailee's hand.
« Oh my god thank you so so much. You don't know what it feels to have your childhood favorite actress that tells you that she's impressed by you » I jumped up and down softly not being able to contain my excitement making Gwyneth and Paul laugh.
« Thank you ma'am » Hailee said. She's shocked of what Jennifer just told her and I absolutely understand why.
After talking more with them, I decided to go greet other people and I quickly see Alycia with Pheobe Tokins and Claire Holt.
« Hey girls thanks for coming » I hugged them. « Hey sweetie » Claire said and I smiled.
We talked about the accident and how I have been since then.
I suddenly feel hands covering my eyes making me flinch.
I start having a flashback of the accident. Me in the car covered with blood. Brie screaming next to me.
« Y/n! Y/n!!» I hear someone call me getting me out of my trance. I see Hailee looking at me worried.
My hands are shaking and I can't breathe « Ha-Hailee » I look behind her and see the others looking at me worried.
« Baby what's wrong » « I- please I need to breathe » I said looking at her.
By now everyone is looking at us making me more anxious.
She takes my hand and lead me outside on the balcony.
« Look at me » she said taking my face in her hands « Focus on my breathing. Can you do that for me? »
I nodded trying to follow her breathe « good job. Do it again » we stay like that, breathing until I calm down.
« You're doing amazing bubs » she said wiping my tears. « I'm here. I'm not going anywhere » she said and I leaned into her touch.
« It's just me and you y/n »
