Chapter 9 / Episode 18 & 19

( before we begin, so there are two other episodes before this one just so y'all know. But I don't want to do the other two so I skip those haha.)

Melody P.O.V

As I walked into school I noticed I got a text from Blur who I am pretty sure is Brian.

Blur: when were you gonna tell me you captured Chaos and sent him away? I would of totally been there.

Me: sorry B, it was all of a sudden with Starling, next time maybe.

That's all I replied with.

I put my phone back into my pocket, and sighed as I finally reached school.

To catch you all up to date, Hartley and I had basically gotten replaced with Brian. Amy and Brian had gotten very close recently. It's nice to see that Amy has a heart.

I like to think I was the reason why Amy has been so happy lately. I mean, if it wasn't for me wiping my families and her families memories, the hero league would of never asked for backup.

Therefore Brian would of never been called and they would of never met. That is if Brian is even Blur. I'm like 90% sure it is him.

I mean, how could it not be?

The person who I've been most concerned with is Hartley's boyfriend Declan. He's been acting so strange lately, I just know he's bad news.

Even Brian has started to argue with him, when Hartley would invite him so she wouldn't be the third wheel. It's like Hartley has been in the middle for all of us. If she isn't third wheeling with Amy and Brian she's third wheeling with Jake and I.

Not like we are a thing or anything, although I do like to pretend to be sometimes.

I reached my locker and I couldn't help but notice the Madden kids weren't in school today, and neither was Declan.

I scan the room and I spot Brian getting things out of his locker, so I quickly put my books away and grabbed what I needed for class and headed toward Brian.

"Hey, seen Amy? Today?" I ask him, he shrugs.

"Beats me, haven't spoken to her for a few days." He replies back bitterly.

I look at him apologetically,

"What happened?" I ask him he shrugs again and slams his locker closed.

"Don't know, I'm late to class. See ya." He waves me off and I look down and sigh.

I kicked up my feet on my table in the living room while watching tv with my family. I sighed smiling, just then my brother walks in and looks at me with pure disgust.

"Ugh, really? We eat on that table Mel, you are disgusting." Bradley says to me and that causes me to take my feet off it.

"Sorry.. geez." I say to him in reply and carry on with what I was watching.

Just then I get a text from Jake.

Jake: Hey Mel! Would you and your family like to go to an escape room tonight?

Me: what for?

Jake: it's for Declan and Hartleys one month anniversary. We thought the more the merrier. Plus this can give our parents a chance to meet!

Me: uh, sure. I'll ask.

This can't be too bad can it? It's just an escape room, plus. This can give our families a chance to like each other first before deciding to go against eachother.
