I've lost count.. I think to myself as I think of how long it's been since I've spoke to Jake, I miss him.. I think to myself again, as I keep looking over to where he is in class..

It's October now and he's still dating Starling.. I can't help but to be sad as I remember what we wanted to do for halloween together...

Flashback

I smile at him and he smiles back at me, he then pulls me into a hug and makes me sit on his lap. He Intertwines our hands together and we look at eachother.

"You know, you might not think of me as the romantic type but I've always wanted to have a girlfriend just so I could match with her during halloween." Jake says to me and I look at him shocked, I get up from his lap and sit next to him with my hands to my chest still in shock.

"How am I just now learning about this!" I say to him and playfully slap his cheat. He laughs "you never asked." He says and he boops my nose causing me to wrinkle it.

I huff and then smile. "We can definitely match for Halloween, what would you want to match with?" I asked him curiously, he smiles even wider as he seemed to be thinking of what he would want us to match with.

He looks at me up and down and licks his lips and I cringe at him and slap his chest again.

"STOP" I say to him and we both laugh. He then shrugs "whatever you want princess, as long as we match." He says and I nod my head.

He then leans in and kisses me.

I'm then interrupted by my daydreaming by the teacher slamming a book on my desk startling me in the process and causing me to shriek. The teacher shakes his head at me and the students around me erupt in laughter. I look over at Jake in hopes that he wasn't laughing either, and he was just looking over to me but looked away as soon as we reached eye contact.

This causes me to blush, but I tried to snap myself out of it because he could of been looking over at me for many reasons, as much as it pains me to say it, he's not my Jake anymore..

Seeing him with the bracelet still gives me hope, even though he thinks that Starling gave it to him, it still means something to me.

I get home from school, and I hear a noise coming from out my house. Curiously, I use my super hearing to listen in. Unsurprisingly it was Hartley, and she had managed to scare two of the most feared teenage supervillains of all time. It almost made me laugh. But I kept on listening.

Hartley just being Hartley, the most sweetest friend and neighbor in the world. She decorated the Maddens front yard for Halloween.

Hartley and I are friends now, but not as nearly as close as we used to be, before.. you know.

"Hey Melody, you're coming to the Sunshine Halloween party right?" Hartley beamed at me with a smile. I smiled at her and said accidentally out loud. "I wonder if Jake is going." She then looks at me and her eyes go wide.

"Do you like him? You know he has a girlfriend right? She's amazing! I love her so much!" She says a little too cheerfully. "You know his girlfriend?" I asked her and she nods her head slowly.

"I didn't know you guys knew eachother." She says to me and say shrug. "Just a guy in my class." I say sadly, and she nods her head.

"So???" She asks hopefully to me. I sigh and slowly nod my head.
