I expected to be hugged by the same feeling as before, but it just felt like I was taking a nap. Why did it feel like a nap? I was dead, wasn't I?

I tried to open my eyes. Light peered in from the cracks I did manage to get open.

Oh I was so not dead.

My face morphed into one of confusion as I looked around the room. It was simple, small and smelly. The floor were wooden, there was tapestry above a run-down mantle and a candle was beside me, and it seemed to have been recently used. A large window let in an uncomfortable amount of sunlight which directly fell onto my eyes. Something this small wouldn't be in an inn.

I was inside someone's house. I looked under the covers I was in. I was still wearing the sack. My feet were still bare. Yet I had regained feeling in my body. I felt where the bullet hit. It started to sting as soon as I touched it and I let out a hiss in response. I touched my gash on the forehead. I still couldn't feel anything there, so perhaps it truly had turned septic.

There were faint murmurs from the other side of the door, as if they were coming from far away. I threw the covers aside and hopped onto the wood. It felt cold beneath my touch. I walked to the door and turned the handle. It creaked open. The voices became clearer and more diversified. There was a stair case to the left. I exited the room and descended it.

"...so she'll be out as soon as she's healed." I heard Thomas's voice. I almost gasped. I was in the Shelbys' house? No fucking way. I WAS IN THE SHEBLY HOUSE! FUCK ALL THE FANGIRLS WHO WANTED TO GO BUT COULDN'T! AHA!

"Fine then. But no longer, you hear?" That voice matched the one of Aunt Polly who had opened the door for her yesterday. I took another step down, but this stair creaked. I sighed. No point in hiding now. Even so, a lush of adrenaline flushed through me. I was going to meet he Shelby family. As I descended the staircase, all their gazes were on me.

"Little eavesdropper, are we?" Polly raised a brow. I raised my head to look at her.

"Perhaps." I tilted my head. With the Shelby family, if I said no I would be a liar and I would be thrown out; if I said yes, then I would be a rat and thrown out. Aunt Polly smirked at my reply.

OMIGAWD I MADE HER SMILEEEEE.

"Why don't we ask the lady in question?" She began, "Do you want to stay here?" She narrowed her eyes and her smirk became dangerous. It was a test. Thomas sighed.
