ch. 2

Then.. you'll do as I ask?" He said into your ear, embracing your waist and laying his head upon your shoulder. "O-of course, my love." you stumbled trying to understand why he questioned your love. Did he doubt you?

You felt a warm light on your face telling you to wake up. The sun's light spread all across the room, filling every corner with its golden rays. 9:00 AM the clock said as you turned over to find the other side of your bed empty. You grabbed the robe laying across the end of the bed and walked out of your room. "Sota." you said as you saw your husband tighten his tie around his neck, getting ready for work. "No time to chat Y/n. I have work to attend to." He said grabbing his briefcase. "No time to even say good morning to your wife!?" you exclaimed, "You don't even have to be at the office till 12." All he does is work, work, work. "Y/n, I have told you multiple times not to get in the way." He said walking downstairs quickly as you tried to keep up with his pace behind him. "Please, Sota. Can you at least stay for breakfast?" you pleaded with your husband  grabbing his arm gently. Sota had no time to spend with his wife. He never did, but you understood why. He did it to support you and him. "Y/n I said No!" He sternly yelled yanking his arm away from your gentle grasp. He sighed, "I'll be home the same time as usual." He said. Sota rushed out the door and drove off before you knew it. You sat on the last step of the stairs as the ends of your robe lied across the floor.

"Here you go, sir." You handed a dark coffee to your customer. "t-thank you.." He said, walking away with his girlfriend, "Isn't that Sota's wife!?" he whispered to his girlfriend. 'Ugh, I have a name. It's on my name card."  you said to yourself. "here, I'll take over." one of your co-workers said replacing themselves in your spot. "Aaron needs you in the back." She said. "Uhm.. Alright, thank you." You said confused, walking to the backroom. "Aaron, what do you need." you said, a bit annoyed. "I know something's wrong Y/n." Aaron said, crossing his arms leaning against the wall, "You've been acting strange for over a week now, that's not like you." "Aaron, I'm fine. just let me do my job." you said turning to go back. "No, Y/. Tell me what's wrong!" The words rushed through his lips before you could leave. "Aaron I would never keep secrets from you, just give me some time to sort things out." you said turning to leave again. "I have given you time!" he exclaimed. A silence grew between you once those words slipped out of his mouth, he realized his emotions got the better of him. "I'm sorry, Y/n. That's not like me. And this isn't like you!" Aaron apologized. "It's Sota." you said almost tearing up, "He's a wonderful husband but.. sometimes he's just too.. busy." you said as your voice cracked slightly. "He's too busy for you?" Aaron asked with his hand on your back. "Apparently." You chuckled, trying to hide your hurt expression from this morning. "Well, I'll tell you what. After work we can do something fun, would you like that?" you asked with a smile on his face. "Yeah, I would like that, Aaron." You said, smiling back at him.

"I'm so glad you took me here, thanks Aaron." You said running your index finger across the spines of all the books that sat on the shelves. "Anything to make you happy, Y/n." Aaron replied. Aaron raised his hand to lay it upon your shoulder but changed his mind. "Oh my god, I've been looking for this everywhere!" You said grabbing a clothed covered book from the top shelf of classics. "hmm.. what's that one about?" Aaron asked as he examined the book with you. You traced your fingers across the spine and pages of the book. "It's a love triangle." you started, "I kind of forgot what it was about, It's been a while since I last read it.. I don't have much time for books anymore. " you said. Turning the book on its other side you read: "We'll runaway if we have too, darling. I won't let anything happen to you. A story in which Rose, a rich married women has to choose between her money or love."

"It seems pretty interesting. I might even read it sometime. Aaron said. You reached to place the book in its original space. "Yeah, The Runaway was pretty good. " you said walking to the next aisle.

2 weeks later

You woke up with a bad feeling in your gut. The clock read 2:15 AM. The icky feeling increased while you walked downstairs to your kitchen. Opening the fridge you found the condiments on the door-shelves, containers of leftovers,  and a variety of vegetables and fruits. You tightened the ribbon on your rob and got the ingredients to make yourself some breakfast. Placing the raw bacon on the frying pan it made a sizzling noise that made you even hungrier. Soon the kitchen smelled of eggs and pancakes. You sat on the counter stool, alone, and played with your eggs with your fork before eating. The first bite felt odd. The bad feeling you had in your gut this morning that was slowly fading then increased extremely. You gagged and spat in out in the trash bin. Rushing to bathroom and holding your hair back you retched out the disgusting eggs and bacon you ate. You washed your mouth out and look at yourself in the mirror. Dropping to the floor against your bathroom door tears starting streaming down your cheeks. 'God, I feel so bad'  you said in your mind with your hands covering your face. After picking out clothes and taking a shower you drove yourself to a clinic. "iv'e been feeling sick all of a sudden when I eat. And it's not even when I eat sometimes I could just be in bed and I would wake up with a sick feeling in my stomach." You told your doctor. "Well, Morning sickness.. crying for no reason?" Your doctor said raising one eyebrow at you, "I think I'm going to have to give you one of these." He said looking through the contents of the counter drawers taking out a rectangle box and giving it to you. You looked at it thoroughly, "Doctor I'm not pregnant." You said. He walked over to sit at his chair, "Well according to the symptoms your'e having you might just be. So I'm going to leave this room and you press this little bottom when your done. Okay?" He said very compassionately. There was a silence for a moment, "Okay, I'll take it." you sighed out as the doctor left the room.

"Oh god no this can not be happening.."
