*Alarm rings*

I groaned as I put a pillow over my face to drown out the alarm. I had been tossing and turning all night. I was dreading this day while also being excited. I know, I'm a walking contradiction.

Today, I was going for an interview at Odinson Corporation. I felt around on my nightstand for my glasses, still too tired to move. I cursed as I knock over my glasses and my book, which I had hurriedly started and finished the last night. Which resulted in me going to sleep at 2 am.
"This is not shaping up to be a good morning" I sighed as I roll out of bed. Nearly standing on my glasses. I just sighed. I gather up the items from the floor and head to the bathroom.

It doesn't take me long to get ready since I already had my outfit ready the previous night. My outfit is pretty simple. black skirt, grey blouse, and silver accessories. My brown hair was half up, half down. And straight for once. Since I owned two pairs of glasses. I left my skinny silver frames in my room and put my black ones on. I never bothered with makeup. I looked like a sloth most days and I really didn't want to add clown to that list. Plus, I didn't know what colours go with brown eyes, I never did go through that phase in school.

As I stood in front of The Odinson Corporation, I stared at the sidewalk and then back at my resume. I felt so intimidated by this place that I almost walked away. But there was something about this place that had always sparked my curiosity. There was always a job going on at this place but it was so difficult to get in. I heard from the ladies down the pool room that this place was really picky about their employees.
"I really need this job" I took a deep breath and pushed the revolving doors. Praying that I didn't get caught in them. Like I did at my last job. It was part of the reason that I left SHIELD Tech. I didn't want to die of embarrassment and I was sick of being known as Fury's niece's roomie. I had a name. but did anyone want to use it? No. Milton was nice. I miss Milton. I might send him a text and catch up with him later.

As I walked with the revolving doors, I knew I had to fake my confidence. I had none. All I had going for me was anxiety and the ability to be forgotten. I strolled up to the desk. The new girl was too busy talking to notice her. I drummed my fingers on the woodwork. leaving little scratches. I heard the girl sigh.
"One minute please" She spun around. Typed something on the screen "Hi and welcome to Odinson Corporation. How may I help you?" She spoke with a squeaky voice.
"Hi, Yes, I have an interview at 6:45" I lent on the desk. While the receptionist typed o her computer, I looked around "Holy balls, This place is snazzy!"
"And what is your name?" The girl typed on the computer.
"Emily Blackwood" The girl continued to type.
"Please take a seat over there" The girl smiled.

As I sat in the sleek, modern and very clean lobby, waiting for my job interview to begin. Men and women in expensive suits bustle by. I start biting the end of my pencil. I wanted to bite my nails but I just had them done at the salon. A few more people had started to arrive. Mostly women.
"Everyone looks so professional... Do I even have a shot?" My foot wanted to bob up and down with nerves but I kept it flat. I struggled to stay calm. I was out of my depth here. This place is more fancy and snobby than Stark Industries. I must look like an idiot compared to some people here. A pair of doors slide open, A woman with an icy demeanour and dark hair approaches.
"Emily Blackwood?" She speaks. A large notepad or skinny folder rests on her hip.
"Yeah, that's me" I raised my hand, Shooting to my feet. I nearly tripped over my own feet. God, I hate being clumsy. I could hear the others snicker at me. I shot them a glare over my shoulder. If only I had some sort of power to use on them. Like the dungeon and dragon's spell, shocking grasp or firebolt.
"I'm Hannah James, VP of Odinson Corp. I'm ready to interview you now"
"Oh! Sure... Absolutely..." I stuttered.
"You sound surprised?" Hannah spoke, Tilting her head at me.
"I just wasn't expecting to be interviewed by someone so high up in the company" I picked at my left hand. It was a habit that I had picked up as a child.
"You're applying to be the executive assistant of our CEO, Loki Odinson himself, One of the most powerful and influential men in the world. We take our hiring process very seriously" Hannah quickly remarks.
"Of course, I totally understand" I held my head high as Hannah walked off. Trying to keep up a confident look, I followed Hannah into a sterile conference room. Even though I was bricking it.
