Reader's POV

Staring down at Alex, the mysterious woman shot her glares filled with distaste. She looked Alex up and down; from her soft brown hair to her big round eyes and little nose, noticing the strange gleam in her vibrant amber eyes - switching from confusion to cautiousness.

Then she took note of the ragged cloak she wore, absolutely taken aback from admiring this little girl's subtle charm. Precariously, the woman scrunched her nose and further continued her condescending stare.

...

Mysterious Woman's POV

"... What is this insolence? You knocked into someone whom you are not even acquainted with, yet you still have the nerve to not apologize? Do you not have any manners?"...

I noticed the little girl tense, her small figure slouching as if ready to pounce on me. Her round eyes changed to mere amber slits as she attempted to stare me down, and could have sworn her irises darkened for a moment before returning back to their normal hue.

I waited a few seconds... A few more seconds passed... A strange atmosphere formed between us despite there being other civilians up and about around us. Still...we glared at each other for what felt like a good couple of minutes.

"Hmmph! It seems that you are an undisciplined little one, aren't you? I wonder how your parents would feel to know that their daught cannot even manage to apologize for a mistake they committed? Maybe they would have enough decency to feel a little embarrassed?"

I said what I wanted to because I have no time to spare in disciplining a rowdy child. Moreover I have more pressing matters to attend to whilst I'm here, so I need not to be distracted.

I was annoyed to say the least so when I heard this girl sniffling behind me as I set to walk away, I was irked further

Does this child have no decency?! It's one thing to be insolent but to behave as if they have been wronged, it's utterly ridiculous!... Honestly it's very disappointing to deal with some parents' child like this. I feel bad for them...

I was stopped by a small hand grabbing the hem of my dress. When I looked back, it was the same troublesome girl but...her eyes...were dark. It was as if there was nothing held in her gaze, it was just dark. Absolutely nothing...except for hatred. This little girl looked at me with such menacing eyes...I felt afraid of her. I visibly shivered whe i met her gaze, but what she said next made me pale out of sheer fright.

"You should not talk to others in such a way, madam. Especially when you do not have even the faintest idea who they are... Further more, do not ever speak about one's parents in such a manner, much less insult them. You speak of manners and respect as if you yourself abide by such principles. But I guess it seems like my words will just fall upon deaf eyes, right?..."

I paled at her words...at the power held within them... I shouldn't be scared of a little girl, even more so a peasant, but there is something about this girl that frightens me.

When she had finally let go of my wrist, I had realised that it was numb...almost as if it was freezing. I tried rubbing it to get some feeling back but the numbness worsened, it was painful in a way.

When my fearful eyes met that if the girl, I froze. Her hateful gaze was still filled with that emptiness but...

...she was smiling at me...

I stumbled while trying to back away from the girl, too scared and shocked to stay there any longer. When I thought I was far enough to at least start running...

"...Uptight jerks like you who claim to be above others and behave as if they know better, showing no sentiment but only a cold demeanor do not deserve to feel any warmth..."

Maybe I was imagining things, but I heard the little girl's voice... Ever single word of hers was laced with venom and pure hatred...

I did not bother to look back at the girl because I knew she was still there, I could feel her staring at my back with that hateful smiling expression of hers...

I ran without caring for the looks and stares I received from the people around. I ran until I could find my carriage. It's obsidian exterior signalling my relief as I let go of a breath I wasn't aware I was holding....

...

Alexa's POV

Everything was fine...it was fine...until such a horrid person came my way... I'm beyond disgusted, much less annoyed at this point! But I hope my little message reached that lady's conceited, small-minded, pea sized brain... Maybe when I'm older I'll go looking for her...just to make sure she heard me and remembers...

I could feel a smirk beginning to blossom on my face as soon as I thought about what I would do when I'm older. I'm not evil, rest assured, but I absolutely refuse to allow such scum to roam around freely. In my eyes, it's only fair if they are properly taken care of...

...

If only people around me knew not to run their mouths like fools...

...maybe I would be more merciful...

...but there's nothing I can do to help them...
