I woke up...two hours later in the middle of noon, my body still shaking from the shock.

Lydia had said that my "preparation" for the engagement would start today, even after all the blackouts and mental fatigue I've endured for how long? Like almost half of the day! I still couldn't believe it was still during the day, when noon began.

To imagine that I'm here, alive and well, then I'm told I'll have to prepare for my engagement to that snobby, ill-mannered, womanizing, backstabbing beast that the entirety of Sapphiria will refer to as Princess Alexa's, my, betrothed? No way in the seven kingdoms will that happen!

But then, I got cut out of my thoughts, arriving in the royal garden behind the castle. This is where my supposed "preparation" would take place. 'The thought of such is disgusting...'

It's quite a beauty to behold really, luscious green shrubs of different shapes and sizes fenced the edges of the garden. There were multiple different coloured flowers everywhere. From red roses to purple anemones, amaryllis, irises and any other flower I could think of. But there was something that caught my eye. Along the shrub-walls there were jasmine and forget-me-nots decorating the visible gaps in the shrubs. 'Forget-me-nots...they feel so familiar... They make me feel so warm yet it brings me a sudden wave of sadness...'

"...!"

"Ouch, my head..." In a single moment, my head was engulfed with a throbbing headache and I started crying. Next thing I knew, everything went white this time.

...

My vision was painted white, anything and everything of sound tuned out and I was left alone with my thoughts.

...

'Forget-me-nots...that was always mother's favourite flower... The bright blue colour matching her glowing amber eyes, she looked fierce yet gentle when next to these... I miss her so much..'

...

It was a warm spring day in the Sapphirian Empire. Thousands of millions of flowers were in full bloom at this time of year. But in the Empire's pride and glory was the wild forget-me-not flowers that sprouted almost everywhere.

They might be small but held a great message within their tiny petals... "I'll always love you, through times of happiness and sorrow, success and hardship... I'll never forget you, even when death do us apart, you'll always reside in the deepest depths of my heart and soul. That's my undying promise to you. A promise filled with unforgettable memories and love..."

Mother had told me that this flower resembled the undying love and loyalty the Empirial dynasty has towards it's loyal subjects and duties, and the message dwindled deeper amongst two lovers.

My eyes were practically sparkling at that thought. 'Undying love and loyalty... dwindling deeper between two lovers... That sounds like a sweet fairytale. I want to have it!' And that's probably one of the reasons the Emperor and Empress decided on arranging Her Highness Alexa's marriage with Prince Eric, a young lad from the neighbouring kingdom, Alistair, and the kingdom's heir.

All it took was a single flower and the wild imagination of a little six year old girl for this marriage proposal to be accepted. Even if it were to only take place in the near future, it was something of celebration throughout the seven kingdoms...up until the truth behind such a dream-like union was revealed...

...

I woke up, again, but it didn't seem like I was out for a long time. Rather just a few minutes. However my thoughts wandered else where right now...
