Chapter 6: A New Alliance

Quickly I dashed throughout the cave's city with him. He showed me the dead campfire, it was fresh as they said. "Call Sage and Eric" I told him. "Right away sir" he said just before he left. I examined the area. There weren't many people who were around it, but as I looked around and went deeper into that part I realized a whole army was there. As Sage arrived I showed him what I found. "We're not the only ones here" he said. "Friend or foe we will catch them. No one enters and leaves this place without me k owing about it. I help build this place and I won't let anyone disturb it." I followed the footsteps just when Eric arrived in time. "Look at this." I told him. "Seems like there were other people here". We went even deeper into the cave only to see another town. I remember someone told me back in the days that they might make another city. Looks like they did. I did know someone who agreed with the person who thought of the plan. He was a commander who is probably dead right now."Should we tell the city?"Eric asked. "No, they might not understand. I think that this city is not an enemies'." I told them. "This city was planned along with the ours. The one who planned it was a friend of my uncle, the one who agreed was also a friend of my uncle. I think I should go and check it out. Stay here and make sure no one is following us." Looks like we are left out once again" Sage whispered to Eric. "When do I ever leave you out?" I sarcastically asked him. I went down the slope that was separating the cave tunnel and the city . " Now off you go" Sage said. As I slid down the slope I was able to get to the gates of the city only to be blocked by some guards. "Who are you" they asked at the same time. I showed them a paper that I was given when I was helping build the other city. My uncle told me to show this to the guards if ever I go to an underground city that was established by his group. The guards let me through the gates and I asked them one question before I left, " Where can I find the commander who is in charge of this place?" " Go to the center of the town, move left and go straight forward. Once you see a metal door to your right knock on it and show them your paper." "Thank you very much:) " I said with a smile. As the guards said, I went the city center and went left and I kept walking until I found the metal door. It was quite a bit rusty. I knocked in a pattern that I was taught by my uncle's group. The person who was at the door was surprised that that was still being used. "And might you be?" He asked. I showed him the paper and he didn't bother if I didn't answer. "Where is the person in charge of this place?" "Follow me" he led me to a place where there was a door with ink saying DO NOT DISTURB. "No one dares to bother our commander" he said starting to shake. I knocked on the door only to see a woman frowning at me. "And who are you?" She lazily asked. "I'm one of the people" I said showing her the paper quickly her expression changed. "Quick come in, I haven't seen those kind of people these days" she said in a friendly tone. She looked around before closing the door. "Have a seat" she said pointing at a chair. "My name is Commander Scarlet, my dad helped in building this place. He was one of the right hand men of the person who had the idea." She introduced herself. "I'm Commander Spear, or James, nephew of Chief Leader Noel. There have been reports of campfires near the main city." I told her. "Oh please I'm sorry, I sent some of my scouts to investigate the area. May I ask you why you are underground and what happened to your General's armor?" She explained to me. "I have been assaulted by Chaos survivors and I had to sacrifice one of my men along with the armor to make them think that I surrendered." I told her. "I was also beat by Chaos people, now I have to stay here underground. I wish there was a way to get back at them."she said. "How about we form an alliance, that way we can be sure we can beat them to the pulp." I suggested. "That's a great idea!!" She said with joy. "I am sure I can help, I specialize in making armor, maybe I can make your new armor. Also I can train your people in close combat, I'm a professional in that." She was very happy about the idea. "Maybe I can teach you a few tips in field combat in return. I was taught by Commander Noel himself, also I have been learning about weaknesses of soldier types" I too was happy. Right away she went to the blacksmith while I alerted my men. Now with an alliance, surely we will stand up to Chaos. I was thinking about showing her the book but the magikill said not even to trust my closest friends. Well I will have to think about it.
