The two other liars

The pink-haired boy sighed softly confused while he gently glazed his slitted eyes over the blonde. His heart was racing, music pumping into his ears while he bounced the basketball onto the gym floor.

'She just wants to be friends so stop looking at her like that Natsu. You're being dumb.' Dribbling the ball, he passed to his teammate and shot the ball into the basket.

It went in and everyone cheered but he didn't feel happy about it. Side glancing at her his heart ached to the bottom of his stomach, Lucy was laughing with a huge smile and blush on her face while talking to some guy on the bleachers.

Turning his eyes to the court he grabbed the ball in silence, shooting the ball into the net. 'What did he say? They're not flirting, are they? It's just a guy, he's just a normal boring guy. She wouldn't like him.'

His teammate dick gave him a pitiful look, after looking at the blonde and boy on the bleachers. "Hey, isn't that your girl?" He asked gently giving the two a side glance.

Natsu looked over at them, at the arm slung around the blonde's shoulders. He clicked his tongue, sending a hard pass at his teammate Elfman.

"no, we're just friends." It was the way his own words burned him, making his heart hurt.

They were just friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

"Oh, I'm sorry man."

It was one thing to think about it, and then another to have another person see it as it was. He was probably thinking Natsu got friend-zoned, but Natsu was just scared so he played dense.

His heart clenched in his chest by knowing she was here with another boy, a boy who was leaning close, arm slung over her shoulder and checking her out.

He doesn't know her like he does, he's not gonna take care of her, protect her. He's probably the average asshole every pretty girl falls for once in their life just to figure out it doesn't work. To break her heart.

"Dick, I'm fine okay. Don't worry." He smiled making the pity and sympathy drop from his friend's body, and lighten him up.

Smiling back at him, dick smacked him on the back with a chuckle "alright! That's what I like to hear!" And went off to his position.

When he was out of view, Natsu clawed his nails in the back of his thigh sending a threatening glare that boiled into the guy, focus still on Lucy the dirty blonde boy felt a shiver down his spine from the awful menacing energy.

He looked back at Natsu confused while the salmon-haired boy's insides churned and pain crashed onto his body at the display of Lucy with her hand on his chest.

'It's fine I don't like her like that anyways.'
Laughing it off, he hid it easily. Picking up his feet he grabbed the ball shooting it into the net and playing at his best ability, leaving his team without any suspicions.

He still felt like shit, he still felt bad about himself but he wasn't going to make these guys worry.

No one had to worry about him.

Not about his aching heart, not about his confusing feelings for Luce, and not about his family life, and not how he broke his mirror when he got home.

He just couldn't tell them.

Juvia sat down slowly in her chair fixing her messed-up lipstick. Pointing the Camera at Gray's face she took a picture. Snap! A small vibration came from her camera and the picture of Gray came into view.
