Blue skies turned into hues of black and grey before her eyes. She couldn't breathe. The invisible cinder block resting on her chest crushed her lungs. Her legs trembled under the weight of her body. She watched the clouds of debris swell in the air helplessly. She saw the second plane collide with the building in slow motion. Her lips tremble until a soundless scream ripped from the depth of her stomach. Bodies shoved into hers, and people fled the scene seeking shelter, but she didn't move. She stared at the crumbling buildings with unshed tears as a million thoughts scattered through her mind, with one standing out the most. Was her sister still in there?
