Sea-Stone || Luffy x Reader

S I X

    Later in the evening as you were relaxing on the deck of the ship, talking with Jimbei about possibly training you since he also has sea-like powers due to being a fish-man. A shirtless older man jumps out of the water, but the commotion before about the Dead Sea king now made some sense. Had this man really swam across the calm belt? 

    You see Luffy's jaw drop as he goes running toward the man in excitement. I guess they know each other.  The older man laughs at Straw-hat's behavior and waves at him as he makes his way onto the island. Almost instantly being recognized you heard the older woman call out to him, "Reighley!" Looking over at the older man you recognized the name, along with his scarred face. A small gasp left your lips as Jimbei also looked shocked at the man's presence. All the girls on the island seemed to know him, claiming that he was one of the people that helped 'save' them. You looked at him a little more and noticed the stars in Luffy's eyes as he looked towards the white-haired Man.

    A bigger celebration started upon the arrival of said man, the snake princess throwing a second party for the two men. During the party, you sat with Reighley and Luffy, both of them drinking and cheering while you picked at your food. Luffy laughed and looked in your direction, "So (Your Name), did you decide if you wanted to join my crew?" Your body stiffened at the question as you looked at the rubber man stuffing his face with food, his cheeks stretching to fit the amount he had been shoving in, trying to talk with his mouth full you cut him off.

    "I'm not saying no, but I need some questions answered." The rubber boy nods and continues eating, motioning you to continue with your questions. Sighing you looked over at your soon-to-be captain and shook your head, "where is your crew? I don't think I've met-" 

     Suddenly a dark aura surrounded you as he stopped eating and looked you dead in the face, "we got separated but we plan on meeting again in a few days" you nodded, before being able to ask another question the old man interrupts. 

     "I've been meaning to talk to you about that Luffy. If you're gonna make it in the new world you and your crew need to get stronger." His eyes wander over to you before continuing, "how about I train you, let's take two years for your and your crew to get stronger"  A frown appears on his face, knowing that the older man is right but hates being apart from his crew he reluctantly sighs and nods. 

     Standing up abruptly Luffy sticks his hand out towards you, a determined look on his face. "(Your Name)! In two years we will meet again on Sabaody Archipelago!" A blush crossed your face as you looked over at the fish man who eyed you suspiciously, knowing the question you were going to ask. Before being able to even ask it he nods as if telling you he agrees to train you for the next two years. You cheer and stand up. 

     "Yes, Luffy! I'll join you two years from now!" A smile graced his lips as he laughed. 

     "We'll be free together (Your Name)!" A blush hit your cheeks as you finished your last meal with the rubber man for the next two years. 

~small time skip~

    Upon arriving at the island that Jimbei had chosen to train you on, it was half land, with an underwater village as well. Perfect for you to try and learn your relationship with the sea. You and Jimbei were staying on land at the moment, doing some basic haki training when a newspaper fell from the sky, showing that Luffy had made his way back to Marine Headquarters.

 His photo sent a message to all of his crew mates, telling them to meet in two years. A smile graced your lips as you ran to go show Jimbei, who was meditating.

(Small chapter but the time skip will be the next one so :p)
