A/N: Thank You zwritessss for voting and commenting. Overall for encouraging me to keep writing this fic. I feel like I haven't thanked you enough.
In the ecstasy of having found a new family, home and friends in this new life, I had started to become way too complacent.
I had stopped researching my life over the past week and had accepted that I had been resurrected by a powerful force to live my new life for some unknown reason.
I was rewarded for my carelessness when my newfound sister, Buffy Summers, the vampire slayer (Technically one of the two slayers. Faith was the other slayer but the relationship between Buffy and her soured due to some complicated reasons) suddenly decided to choke my neck.
"B..U..F..F..Y" I croaked out as my sister was choking my neck.
"What are you?" She interrogated me with disdain and tightened her grip on my neck.
I could only muster a time-out gesture at this point.
Luckily, she decided to part her arm from my neck.
I rubbed my neck in pain and when I looked at her, it seemed like she was completely out of it.
"What in the actual hell Buffy?!" I was incredulous at this sudden display of power from my sister.
"I'm telling mom!" I threatened her with the only thing I could think of. This must be some sort of an elaborate prank that Buffy must be pulling on me.
"You stay away from my mother" She admonished me.
She might not have understood this but her words broke me. And I broke my back when Buffy pushed me into the nearby closet.
"Ahh! My Back!" I felt like Tobey Maguire from Spider-Man 2.
She looked at me with such anger. I was just confused but decided not to speak another word and rubbed my back in agony.
As she was about to take another round at choking my neck, she was interrupted by a telephone call.
"Stay here or I'll break every bone in your body" Buffy intimidated me. But unlike me, she was very serious in her threat.
I just nodded. Then she went downstairs.
Ever heard the term 'Curiosity killed the cat'? My curiosity got the better of me as I ignored Buffy's threat and went down to overhear her convo on the phone.
But Buffy's spidey sense got activated as I neared her and she stopped talking.
She kept the phone in its cradle and faced me.
"What did I tell you?" She decided to twist my arm and I cried in pain.
"Buffy? Shaun?" I heard mom's voice near the front door. We were in the kitchen at this point.
"Come with me. Don't talk" Buffy was stern in her instructions. I just figured that something was wrong and I may most probably die.
Anyway, dying isn't so bad, is it? Don't have to worry about constant traumatic images filling your head, don't have to study, don't have to worry about being reborn and most important of all, don't have to worry about being hacked to death by your slayer sister.
She just held my arm tightly as we both went towards the front door.
I found that my mom looked a bit pained.
"Hi, Shaun! Buffy"
"Hi, mom" Buffy returned the greeting.
I decided to live and just smiled at mom.
