Chapter Thirteen: The News
Third Person POV

Evelyn looked around at the awed faces for a few moments before sitting down herself. "I know that you are all confused as to why, I am alive," she pauses for a moment.

"Ethan did shoot me, but I was wearing a bulletproof vest when it had happened... When the police and the emts came I was taken to a hospital where I fully recovered," she stops looking around again.

"I would've told someone if the police hadn't told me not too. Also, they told me that they would try and charge Ethan with attempted murder," she finally finishes.

"They're going to charge him with murder, not attempted murder," Liam states looking at her. Hannah pulls out her phone, having got a notification from a news app that she had. It gets the news from the closest news station or the best in the area. The notification said the following: Ethan Redfern caught for the murder of Evelyn Montgomery...

"Do you want to say anything to the family,"

"Turn on the Tv now," Hannah says looking up from her phone. Louis grabs the remote without questioning and he turns it on. The news channel was already one, but talking about the weather. It quickly changes.

"Breaking News. Ethan Redfern was caught for the murder of Evelyn Montgomery, and involvement in Hannah Striker's kidnapping," says the reporter.

"Live with reporter Jenny Hawking at the Scotland Yard," she finishes looking directly at the screen. The picture changes to outside of the Scotland Yard.

"Mr. Redfern, is it true you killed Evelyn Montgomery," Jenny Hawking asks walking up to the police officers taking him into the Scotland Yard.

"I won't deny it. But I wasn't involved with Hannah's kidnaping," Ethan says before the door closes.

"Can you tell us why you killed her?" Jenny asks while following Ethan up the steps.

"I have many reasons but I will not tell you any of them." Ethan replies while walking the rest of the way into the building.

She turns around to face the camera, "Jenny Hawking, news 19," she states then the camera cuts back to the news station.
