Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten: What did he mean?

Ethan walked out of the building and started towards Hyde Park now him and Zayn's official meeting place. Zayn wasn't to far behind him. But he slowed to make it seem like he wasn't following Ethan on purpose. Ethan walks into the park and finds the bench that he had sat at last night. He sits down and waits for Zayn to show up, knowing that he would follow him. Zayn walks into the park and walks over to the bench where Ethan was. He sits down on the other side.

"What did you mean by, 'Tell Hannah to watch her back'" he asks him without glancing over in the general direction.

"That she might want to watch out for David," he replies.

"David," Zayn repeats no looking over at Ethan.

"Yes, David. He hit on Hannah, but your blonde friend told him to lay off. If Hannah walks anywhere outside alone at night, he will find her and he will kidnap her," Ethan states as he looks over at Zayn. He had no idea if this was true but he never knew with David.

"Why," Zayn asks.

"Because he wants her for his own, kinda like how I wanted Evelyn, but I let her go and she came back, but she didn't want me, I understand that now," he says glancing over at Zayn.

"But why, she doesn't want him why should he try and take what he can't have,"

"Exactly the point, I took something from you that I couldn't have, but now we both can't have her because of my stupidity, he'll probably do the same thing,"

"And if he doesn't kill her,"

"Then he'll hurt her until she does what he wants,"

"What if he tries to pull her from Louis's flat,"

"He'll have to go through me and the five of you,"

"Why, would you want to help her,"

"Because no one else deserves to die because of me or my friends,"

"At least someone knows that,"

"Yeah,"

"So what happens now, are we gonna stay with her wherever she goes,"

"Well no, if he does get her while one of you is with her just come to my apartment because you can find him there, unless he has somewhere else he would hide her, but I doubt that," Ethan replies.

"Okay," Zayn replies before standing up and walking out of the park.

Zayn walks into the flat a few minutes later, and Hannah walks over to him. "You better tell me why I have to watch my back or I'll punch you in the face," she says anger covering her emotions, in the worst way.

"Ethan's friend David talked with you last night at the club, but you turned him down," Zayn starts. "And he will either kidnap you while you're outside alone or while you're here," he finishes.

"Why,"

"Because he wants you for himself. Ethan also said that he'll try help anyway he can before he turns himself in," he says. Hannah nods.

"But why,"

"Because he is a psychotic that really needs something he can't necessarily have,"

"But he should know I don't want him,"

"He does he just doesn't care what you want he cares about what he wants," Hannah sighs loudly.

"So, it was the guy that hit on me but Niall told him to go away,"

"Yes. Did he seem to persistent,"

"Yeah, like he needed me then and there, maybe it was the alcohol that was talking,"

"Not according to what Ethan told me and the way his friend seems it wasn't the alcohol talking," Zayn replies looking at Hannah.

"But what if Ethan was lying to you again,"

"He sounded sincere this time, like he wasn't lying,"

"And if he is,"

"Then we'll have to believe him just this once," Zayn says his words telling Hannah to stand down, to believe Ethan just this once, even if it would the last.
