Chapter 1

As the Summer was beginning to end, Y/N knew that school was just around the corner. Although they had gotten used to the town by now, the school was still unfamiliar territory.

Y/N had only moved to Morioh with their father after the end of the previous school year, giving them the entire summer to just relax and mess around in town. However, that somewhat backfired as Y/N didn't have any friends in Morioh, making them alone the entire time. Even their father hadn't spent too much time with them, as he had always gone to work to pay the bills!

Luckily, after having a trip to the Kame Yu Department Store to find school supplies, new clothes, and maybe even a small treat, Y/N had the amazing idea to apply in the clothing section! Only as a cashier, of course, but it would be an amazing opportunity to earn money while also not being bored out of their mind for the last few days of Summer Break.

After successfully applying, having a few training days, and even setting up their official schedule to not conflict with their school schedule, Y/N had finally become an official member of the team! The manager, who Y/N hadn't met yet, had even decided to let them adjust to school first and allowed them to have that day off.

Upon waking up on the first day of school, Y/N put on their uniform and grabbed their bag. Then made their way towards the entrance of the home.

"Y/N?" Their Father called, still drowsy.

"Hm? Do you need something?"

Their Father tossed them a Donut Stick, still in the wrapper of course. "Don't head to school on an empty stomach. I also made a bento for you, on the counter."

Y/N just barely caught the donut, now a bit startled at the sudden morning catch. "Oh, ah! Thank you!" They said, grabbing the bento and shoving it into their bag along with the donut stick. They planned to eat it later. "Will you be home tonight?"

Y/N's Father shook their head. "No, sorry bud. Not tomorrow either. I'll be out of town for a bit. You can hold down the fort for me though, right?"

"Yeah! It's no big deal. I can make it to school and work on my own." Although, they were disappointed inside, as they were sure they'd want to spill about all of the friends they would make today.

"I'm so proud of you." Y/N's Father came over and gave their child a hug. "You've grown up to be so mature." He said, releasing you. "Now, get out there before you're late!"

Y/N nodded, jogging out of the door and down the sidewalk until needing to cross the street. Their house wasn't too far away from the school, even being able to go past a beautiful fountain! Maybe they would stop by there after school.

Y/N got to school almost perfectly on time and attended the orientation. Then they recieved their class schedule. 'Maybe I should find students who have the same first period as me so we can walk together...' Y/N thought. Then, they had bumped into someone.

"Ah! I'm so sorry, I was distracted!" A boy's voice said, causing Y/N to look down. The boy was very short, wearing one of the green uniforms.

"N-no, it's okay! We were both trying to find our home room, am I right?"  You asked. "Uh, I have class 1-A. Do you?"

The boy, glad to have not upset you, sighed in relief. "No, I don't... But they're probably just across from each other! We can still look together!"

The two of you began looking around for the room number until you realized you hadn't introduced yourself. "Oh, I'm Y/N Hayashi by the way! You are..?"

"Koichi Hirose!" Just then, Koichi pointed out the rooms you both needed! "Yes! We found it!" He said, happy to have helped. "We can meet up for our lunch break if you'd like?" He asked.
