Bella woke up that morning and sighed as she stretched. She then reached for her glasses and headed to the bathroom of her hotel room. She quickly got ready as her mind went over the steps that brought her to the hotel and England.
Bella was born to a Demon-human hybrid and an angel mother. Unlike her brothers or sister, she took more after the demon side of her family; this meant she had features of a wolf people either called unnatural beauty or feared her looks. Bella, however, was her father's daughter and didn't let it get to her. It was like a voice inside her telling her it didn't matter what other people thought and that she was perfect the way she was.
This voice helped her write a manuscript called Angel's Admirer. It was a book about an angel's love for a demon and how they went through heaven and hell to be with each other, how they were betrayed and lost one another to pride and jealousy. Bella shivered thinking about it, the scenes she had written seemed so vivid in her mind, yet it also seemed far away, as if someone was protecting her.
She used these visions to help write the book and posted it to Kirkland Publishing, one of the biggest publishing houses in London. Bella didn't tell anyone she had submitted it, not because they wouldn't support her. It was because she wanted to prove that she could do it herself. She got the letter only a few weeks later telling her they loved the book and wanted her to come to London. Bella quickly told her family was on the first plane to the city.
Bella was walking down the streets and headed to the publishing company building. She was almost to the door when she was pushed aside by someone running. Bella then fell to the ground and braced herself for the impact, stopping by someone catching her.
"Oi, the watch was yer going." The person who caught her yelled to figure running into the building.
Bella looked to her savior to see green eyes and deep red hair. Shouldn't they be gold? She was then taken out of her thoughts when the man helped her. She patted herself, ensuring she was alright, then looked at her watch.
"Oh no, I'm going to be late...." She muttered.
"Who are ye meeting?" the redhead asked.
"Ah, Whittney Jones, she's my editor."
"Oh, so you're the new author she's been talking about, Bella Oxsterina?"
"Yes..."
"I'm Alistair." The man said.
"Nice to meet you. Do you work here?"
"Yes, I can take ye to her office."
"Really, but wouldn't that make you late?"
"It's alright; my boss doesn't care."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure, lass."

Alistair had walked to work that day because his devil hated to walk. He was heading toward the office when he saw another man almost knock a woman down. He quickly caught her, and the first notice was that she had wolf-like features with snow-blond hair. Yet when he looked into her eyes, he looked at deep blue eyes.
"Angel?" he heard the devil ask.
Alistair didn't listen and diced to talk to the girl. He found out that she was one that his niece had told them about over dinner. His mother asked about the same dinner when he would meet a nice girl and marry her. He couldn't help but shake his head at that and couldn't help but smile at the girl. She was charming, with her ears twitching a little as she talked.
"Are you still sure it's alright for you to take me..." Bella asked again.
"It's no problem. Besides, it's on my way." He replied, opening the door.
Bella blushed a little but nodded thanks. Alistair watched as her eyes went wide, seeing all the offices in the building. He gently took her arm and started to lead her through the crowd. As they walked, he couldn't help but feel like they had done this before, like a dream. He shook his head when he heard the devil start to speak again.
"Getting all cozy with a demon spawn, I thought you hated us."
"She not like you," Alistair whispered.
"I hope you're right about that..." the demon said as they led Bella to Whittney's office.
