The morning sun came not long after the pair's slumber. Kwazii yawned as he looked down at Peso, snuggled up against the pirate's chest fur. He chuckled to himself. God, Peso was adorable.

*snap!*

Kwazii looked around to see Barnacles, Dashi and Shellington all standing in the doorway to his room.

"M-mateys!" The cat exclaimed, "what are ye all doing in me room?"

Dashi chuckled. "We came looking for you two, since you're normally up earlier, and... well, I just couldn't resist snapping a few photos!" The dog explained.

"And, after seeing this..." Barnacles chimed in, "we've decided to let you two have the day off to be with each other."
Kwazii was speechless. "Really, Cap'n? But what about the sick fish?"
Barnacles shook his head. "There aren't any, today. Besides, you've both been working too hard. You deserve a break." The polar bear replied. "We'll leave you alone, now."

The group exited the octoschute, one by one. Kwazii once again looked down at the sleeping medic. He was absolutely precious.

Suddenly, Peso began to stir. He looked up at the pirate holding on to him. "D-dada...?" The chick said, confused as to where he was. Kwazii chuckled. "It's alright, matey. You don't need to worry about a thing. We're gonna spend the whole day together, lad."

The medic's face lit up. "Who'e day?" He asked, with a voice and expression that could make even the coldest heart melt. Kwazii pulled Peso towards his face. "The whole day, buckaroo!"

Peso giggled and clapped his flippers. "Who'e day! Who'e day!" He chanted cheerfully.

Kwazii looked looked over at the clock.
7:00 AM
Plenty of time! He picked up his small charge and went to get some supplies from his closet. Diapers, a bottle, changing supplies, toys, fidgets, everything that his baby would need. He was about to close the door when he noticed a pacifier on one of the boxes. He picked it up and immediately recognized it as a pacifier that he had made for Peso a while back. The button on it said 'Autistic, not Weird'.
It would be perfect for the penguin.

Kwazii held the button-side up to the hatchling's face. "I made this for you a while ago. Ya' like it, matey?"
Peso inspected the pacifier, then gave his approval by clapping his flippers. "I knew you would, lad." The feline replied, popping it into Peso's mouth.

"Now, let's go get you some breakfast."

"Can't catch me!" Dashi exclaimed as she raced around the kitchen, Shellington and Tunip in toe. "Dashi, get back here!" The scientist yelled after her as he panted, him and Tunip struggling to catch up to her. Just then, Grouber jumped onto her and knocked her over.

"Owwwwie..." the dog said, holding up her bruised elbow off the ground. "Oh, Dashi..." Shellington began, lifting Dashi up off the floor, "that's why I didn't want you running around like that. Please tell me you won't do that again?"
"I pwomise, Shewwy..." Dashi replied.

Tunip also wanted to have an exchange of words with someone. "Grouber!" He exclaimed in Vegimalese, "Don't jump on people like that! They could get hurt!"
"S-sorry, big bro...." The other replied, also speaking in Vegimalese, "I got carried away. I didn't mean to hurt her..." Tunip sighed and gave his little brother a hug as a sign of forgiveness.

Meanwhile, Kwazii was feeding Peso at the table. The hatchling was done with the yucky baby food his dada insisted on giving him, and now got to suckle sweet milk out from his baba. Kwazii looked down at the penguin and smiled. Sure, being in littlespace was great, but it was still nice to care for someone else once in a while.

As Peso suckled on the bottle, Tweak walked up to him. Kwazii put his ears down in fear of being reprimanded by the mechanic. Tweak, however, noticed this and caught on quickly.

"It's alright, Kwazii." She said, in a surprisingly soft and motherly tone, "I ain't gonna yell at ya'."

"Oh. Sorry, Tweak."
"Nothin' to be sorry about, hun."
"So, what did ye want to talk about, matey?"

Tweak hesitated for a moment. "I... I wanted to say thank you for introducin' me to all this age regression stuff. Didn't understand what was so great about it til' I tried it myself, and... well, it's the most blissful feeling I've ever felt." the rabbit replied, blushing.

Kwazii have a small chuckle. "Well, thanks lass. By the way..." he added, "...if you ever want a caregiver—or a playmate—I'm always open."

"Uhm, th-thanks..." Tweak said, now hiding her smily, blushing face with her ears.

Peso, now done with his bottle, giggled. "T'eak! T'eak!" He cheered, reaching for Tweak.
"Aww, hey there little guy!" She said, taking Peso out of Kwazii's arms.

Peso flapped his flippers in the air, a sign that he very much enjoyed the mechanic's company. He nuzzled up against her, the warmth of her body enveloping him. "Uh oh, I think he's taken a liking to you, matey!" Kwazii said, jokingly.

"Mx. Tweak," Dashi interrupted, walking up to them, "Shewwy wants yoo."

"Oh goodness, I better get going then! Sorry little guy, looks like we'll have to play some other time." Tweak said, putting Peso back in Kwazii's arms and heading off with Dashi.

Peso kept reaching out for Tweak. "Aww, don't worry, matey! I'm sure she'll be back soon!" Kwazii reassured him. "We've still got the rest of the day together!"

Peso simply giggled.

"Dada... 'eepy..." Peso said, extremely tuckered out from all the playing with Dashi outside. Kwazii laid the hatchling down on the bed, also getting a bit tired from dealing with Peso.

"I know, matey. It'll be okay. Just go to sleep, alright?" Kwazii reassured the penguin. Suddenly, Kwazii heard a knock on the door, followed by... whimpering?

He opened the door to see Barnacles standing there, a very distraught looking Tweak at his side. "Yeow!" The pirate yelled, startling Tweak. "Shh, keep it down." Barnacles requested. "Oh, sorry matey. But what are ye doin' here? And why does Tweak look so out of sorts?"

"One of the gups went haywire, made this loud, awful screeching noise, and..." the Captain explained,"...well, you know how sensitive Tweak's hearing is."

Tweak ran up to Kwazii and hugged him. "Aw, come now, lass." He said, lifting her off the ground. Oof, she was much heavier than Peso.

"Did yer' ears get hurt, matey?"
Tweak slowly nodded.
"Don't worry... me and Peso are settlin' down for a nap. There won't be any noise to worry about in here." The cat reassured her.

She looked up at him with tear-strewn eyes. He leaned down and kissed her forehead, earning a bit of squirming and a small smile in return.

"It's okay to feel small, lass."

Barnacles closed the door and walked away.  Peso, who had been watching curiously, now realized who it was that Kwazii was carrying.
"T'eak?" He asked sluggishly, still tired. "Shh, little matey." Kwazii said, as he walked over to the medic. "Tweak's feeling little right now, and she's very tired. We don't want to make any loud noises to scare her, 'kay?"

"Otay." Peso agreed, now hushing his voice to not startle Tweak. Kwazii looked down at the ball of green fur clinging to him. "How old are ye, matey?" He asked. Tweak held up 2 fingers.

"So you're still little enough for nappies?"
Tweak nodded.

"Alrighty then, lass," Kwazii replied, "we'll get ye into some paddin'."

The pirate set Tweak down the changing table and changed her into an ocean print diaper. He then took her over to the bed and laid down with her and Peso.

"'Zii?" Tweak asked.
"Yeah, lass?"
"I wuv chu."
"Heh, I love you too, Tweakie. I love both of ya'."
