~3rd person POV~

'My father?! I thought he was dead?!'

Natsumi tried not to act shocked at the news. Astrazel had left the two woman in his family when people found out about his daughter. He knew he would be killed, so he left them behind without a care.

~Flashback :P~

Natsumi at the age of 5 was very carefree. She was running through an open field of flowers with a small Tsukino.

"Daddy! Look what I made you," Natsumi called while running towards Astrazel.

He looked over and smiled as she waved around a flower crown. Astra was different then, he had a heart. That is until the village had found out about the two.

"Mommy! Daddy! Where are you!"

Natsumi ran through her burning house, searching for her parents. She never found them then and always thought they died there. Yet both of Natsumi's parents were still alive, one helped her in her prison while the other left her behind.

~normal time~

"I'm quite surprised Tsukino," Astrazel spoke. "I thought you'd be dead by now."

"I have a mission to complete, and I'm sure as hell ain't dying until it's completed," Tsuki growled.

Laxus didn't speak, he didn't know what to say. He wanted to obliterate the man and serpent before him, but he also had an urge to save Natsumi instead.

"Now that you're under my control Natsumi, deal with them both."

"Deal with," Natsumi questioned.

"Exterminate them."

The female kept her expression blank before curving her lips into a smirk. She pulled her sword out of the serpent, having left it when she was shaken off.

"With pleasure!"

Laxus felt betrayed as she leaped before him, swinging her sword at his chest. He was able to dodge the blow but was a big held back by her actions. Each time she swung her blade Laxus dodged, but he never attacked her. Why? Something within told him not to.

"Why not fight back blondie," Natsumi asked while swinging at him again.

"I'm not going fight you Natsumi!"

"And why's that?!"

Laxus didn't know. His heart ached at the thought of hurting her. He had done it before, so why can't he do it now?

"I just can't," he finally responded.

Natsumi smiled, a sweet smile at that.

"Well then today's your lucky day." Her sword lowered as she turned to face Astrazel. "You don't have to!"

(A/N- was gonna end the chapter here but I'm gonna make this one extra long for you guys ;3)

Astrazel was shocked at her independent movement but dodged the attack all together.

"How are you-"

"Your attempt was weak and I easily broke free. You may have managed to bring out this side of me but I have control over it now," Natsumi smirked.

"Why you little," Astra growled.

Natsumi swung her sword at him and Laxus shot off a stream of lightning.

"You may have avoided it now, but I will have control!"

Astrazel vanished before any of their attacks could hit. Laxus cursed under his breath as the sea serpent started to take off.

The whole reason they were here was to get rid of this thing and they planned on doing it. The female stabbed both swords into the serpent to keep her balance. It barely worked.

The creature flew over the harbor, not willing to let them attack again.

"Laxus! Tsuki! You have to shoot this thing down," Natsumi yelled.

"What about you," Laxus shouted back.

"Just do it!"

They both nodded to each other before gathering their magic. Tsukino roared, forming an army of star shaped objects out of thin air. They all went flying at inhuman speeds when Laxus' lightning surround them.

The attack was powerful and damaged the creature greatly, but it still wasn't enough.

"Invoco in glacie virtutes mea daemonium sui!" (I call upon the ice powers of my demon self!)

Ice emerged from the females swords, creeping around the scaly monster. Letting out a cry, the serpent plummeted into the ocean as the ice froze it over.

Natsumi acted quickly and controlled the water around her, floating on top of it. Laxus nodded in content as she was elevated over the water level, her appearance changing back to normal as she combined her swords once again.

Suddenly, she started to wobble. Her vision got blurry and her head was pounding. Did she use too much of her magic? Yup.

The whirlpool beneath her disappeared, letting the now unconscious Natsumi fall towards the depths of the ocean.
