~3rd person POV~
Laxus ran through the crowd and caught Natsumi before she hit the ground. Her attack was too much for her to handle- her magic was depleting. The blonde panicked before remembering something- the crystal.
The small crystal that they had gained on their mission. It could heal her. It could also bring back Tsuki. But he planned on reviving the female, even if it meant they'd both live on in sorrow. He summoned the crystal- which he sealed for safe keeping. Natsumi averted her gaze to the small item and immediately frowned.
"You can't...use this," she choked out. "I'll live...but Tsuki..."
"Natsumi, I can't guarantee you'll live and I don't want to take that chance," Laxus stated.
"I will live Laxus," she smiled weakly. "I promise you, I will. But please, bring back Tsuki."
A single tear rolled down her cheek as she pleaded for Laxus to do this. And he agreed. Most of the guild was confused at the what was going on. Then Erza figured it out.
"Don't tell me Tsuki..."
Laxus nodded, his emotions almost taking over. "He did a while ago, this crystal though could bring him back."
"So then he'll live," Juvia asked with a sliver of happiness.
"Freed," Laxus spoke, returning to his unemotional tone. "Bring her back to the guild with Wendy, I'll stay back and help with the clean up around here."
The green-haired male nodded before lifting the now unconscious Natsumi off of the ground. Half of the guild followed him back, the other half began reassuring citizens it was all right.
"Laxus," Makarov spoke in a sad tone. "I'm now seeing how you feel towards Natsumi, but what happened here is unforgivable."
"If you're saying you're going to banish her then you've finally gone insane old man," Laxus scoffed. "She was being controlled by that bastard of a father. So what if she's a demon? In the end she protected the rest of us."
Makarov went into deep thought about his grandson's words. Laxus walked off while he made his decision, not willing to deal with the thought of getting rid of this girl. This girl that captured his heart.
Upon approaching the fallen Tsuki, his expression turned grim. The blood that streamed from his chest and mouth made him gag. He never thought this matchmaking and crazy sonuvawolf would ever meet his end. And yet he did.
The blonde attached the white crystal to Tsuki's collar. It began to glow and encase him within a silver box before disappearing with a brilliant light. Tsuki stood upright on the spot that would've been his grave. He looked around, confused on why he's alive.
"Welcome back," Laxus smiled.
"Why did you-"
"Natsumi told me to. She's injured though, and I don't know if she'll make it."
"But you revived me instead of healing her?! I thought you loved her!"
"I do love her, but she promised me. I trust her."
