~3rd person POV~

Laxus wiped the sweat from his brow. He had finally finished helping repair the destroyed area of Magnolia. Tsuki had gone to the guild, waiting to see if Natsumi had woken up.

"Thank you Laxus," Erza smiled as she put her hand on his shoulder. "I know it must be hard."

"What must be hard," he questioned.

"Not knowing if Natsumi is going to live or not. We all heard you confess to her, and we're happy for you."

Laxus blushed, not realizing all of them knew. "Yea well..."

"Don't worry Laxus, we're sure she'll make it through. She's a strong girl."

"Yea, she really is," Laxus chuckled.

Erza nodded in content before walking away. The blonde turned and made his way towards the guild, not wanting to waste anymore time. Once he got there, he was greeted by sympathetic looks.

He ignored them. Natsumi hadn't died, so there wasn't a reason for him to accept pity. Tsuki and Wendy were waiting for him in the infirmary.

"Laxus-San," Wendy smiled. "I did all that I could, but she should be fine."

"Thank you Wendy, I owe you one."

Wendy smiled sweetly before leaving him with Tsuki. The wolf sat by the bed, not wanting to look Laxus in the eye at the moment.

"Tsukino," Laxus started, breaking the silence. "I understand you're probably pissed off at me."

"That I am."

"......"

"Why did you even revive me?"

"I don't really know. Something in her eyes told me to do it." Laxus averted his gaze to the ground.

"Listen Laxus." Tsuki stood and padded over in front of the blonde. "I understand you did it for her own good. Honestly, it would've been better if she never met me. I won't be here for her in the next few weeks. My time is running out, so you wasted a valuable item."

"What do you mean your time is running out? I don't understand?"

"You will soon enough. For now you should rest, it's been a long day."

"One hell of a birthday if you ask me..."

Two weeks have passed now and Natsumi has shown no signs of coming to. The guild was back to its normal setting, and when I say normal I mean crazy as hell. Chairs were flying through the air as was Happy and Lily. Tsuki slept at the foot of Natsumi's bed while Laxus slept in the chair beside it.

The female began to stir, shifting her position in the bed. Tsuki jumped up at the sudden movement and bit Laxus' leg in an attempt to wake him.

"Ow! What the hell!"

He certainly was awake now. While mumbling curses, Laxus glared at Tsuki.

"She's moving," he stated blankly.

Laxus looked over. Natsumi wasn't doing well the past weeks. She got more pale each day and Wendy could tell she was losing a part of her life.

She stopped. Her movements gave the pair a sliver of hope, but now it was ripped away from them both.

Tsuki sighed. "I was hoping she would finally wake up..."

"You and me both."

Yet another two weeks have passed the guild members began to worry. Porlyusica had arrived the week before to see what she could do to help.

(A/N- Porlyusica is like a potion and medicine woman. I think •-•)

"Laxus," she spoke with a sigh. "It's been a month now and she's not doing well. If she doesn't wake up by tomorrow I'm gonna have to assume she's..."

Laxus' expression went dark. He didn't want to except not believe that Natsumi could die here.

"From what I heard what she did was very risky. Elemental users have unique abilities indeed, but using all of them at once is deadly. It drains ones magic quickly and can leave the user powerless. The fact that she hasn't awoken proves my case."

"So she has a day before we can give up her is what you're saying."

"Yes," she sighed. "I'm sorry."

Porlyusica left the room to Laxus and Tsuki. Laxus sat on the edge of the bed and studied Natsumi's face. She was almost like a ghost, an unhealthy pale color. Beads of sweat rolled down her face and her expression was pained.

"Listen Laxus," Tsuki spoke. "There's something you should know."
