I Loved You Too (Fixing)

Chapter ■ 2| Just a normal day

*Yawn*

The bird chips behind the blindfolds and I already suspected it was morning. I mumbled under my soft sheets and stretched it all out, bones slightly crackling, then exhausting a satisfying grunt, before readjusting my vision for the new morning that awaits me to this day.

Glancing towards the shuriken-formed clock beside my bed who was supposed to be doing its job but I was already up for the day.

"6:00"

"Perfect."

I escaped a low voice in satisfaction, waking up at 6:00 pronto on a Saturday morning. A lot of people may say that I am a loose-headed guy who wakes up very early time... but that's no excuse for a ninja who has a lot of things on their plate...

I slowly got off to my bed and prepared my daily warm-ups, went to the bathroom to clean my horns and stuff, already gotten used to the cold water I always have to endure... not like Vector always pays up bill for us to enjoy a hot bath anyway. which we don't really argue about it, no matter how a lot of citizens called out our agency, all of them repay none. which we understand deeply, metal virus caused massive destruction affecting the homes and lives of Mobians,  right now money wasn't the priority, as a Chaotix and also a member of freedom fighters, we are expected to help, no matter how we are in need of money to pay up some bills.

I got off and started my day with my usual tasks, carefully going to the other member's quarters I shared house with. The small one, as usual, room is messy as I always expected, toys and crayons all scattered, making the room more cluttered and painstaking to look at. Maybe I need to teach him some manners again after he wakes up.

I huffed in discomfort, slowly went back out, and move to the next room that makes my face burrowed more...

Paperwork... paperwork is the only thing that gobbles down his room, alongside some newspapers and detective novels.

"Maybe I'll add him to the list but he is too old to even be taught about this."

I facepalmed to the obnoxiousness I have to live within... but aside from that... I was still glad... I was glad that I saw my team all safe and within my reach. Not like before...

Not like the madness occurred back then... unable to know how to help but to only stare as my team one by one become infected by this nightmarish virus. The one I saw within my eyes Vector sacrificed himself to not let Charmy spread the virus... for the sake of us to save the world. The times I remember breaking down, yearning for their presence near me but the bitter taste of knowing they were out of reach. Although I am a ninja, I was built to be confident and strong, but still, I always felt of being alone and scared... and now all of those vanished ever since sonic and silver managed to eradicate all those metal viruses.

To finally be with my team one more time, I swore to never let my guard down again to those I love and hold dearly, although I never shared affection, but I'll never let them get away within my sight... again.

Since I am an early bird, the streets aren't those Mobians who are usually running late for work, I always decide to kill the time by drinking my signature tea and meditate, although to be frank ever since the metal virus ended, it was brutally stressful lately to all resistance including us Chaotix with all the aftermath it dealt. Now that every part of it got taken off.

"Let me have some of my time."

I huffed... closing my eyes, appreciating the zen I was.
