Some people have a spirit animal
Like foxes, wolves or dragons
But I'd always considered that trivial
So I never hopped onto the wagonUntil at an aquarium one day,
I saw a jellyfish there,
Mesmerized by it's rhythmic sway
Like me, it was neither here nor thereI said to him, we're alot alike, you and I
And I named him Clarence,
Our outlook on the world is very wry,
An alien transparenceWe both sway to the whims around us,
We both have no spine
We both push people away,
We both float around those around us.Is it a crime that we're different like that?
I don't think soBeing a jellyfish isn't a bad thing,
I'd even be one for real.'Cause whenever people annoy me,
I'll have a venomous sting.
