VEGAS POV

They discharged me the next day. I hurried home and tried to find all the possibilities where those two idiots could be.

I thought about all the possibilities, but something was missing in this "Catch me if you can" game.

Porsche is not smart, but he is not stupid, so they wont be at his house. They had to have some different safe houses. Kinn did not contact me, so I think that he had no news about their location.

I was sitting in my office, when I heard a gentle knock.

"Come in, Venice."

"Father, are you feeling better? What happened to you?"

"Oh, it's nothing. I just got attacked by a crazy dog." I chuckled, because I knew that Pete would smack my head because of this.

"It must have been a massive dog.." Venice chuckled and his eyes wandered to my bandaged neck. If you look closer enough, you could see the beginning of the scar he made there.

"Is there anything I could do for you?"

"I will be going outside with my classmates, I don't know what time I will be back." He just said and I nodded.

"Have fun, just please.. Use protection.. Okay?" I told him and I could see how he blushed. His personality is the exact copy of Pete's.

When he left I wanted to focus back on the work I started, but I could not. I could only focus on memories connected with Pete. I will never forget the day I saw him for the first time.

**********FLASHBACK**********

I was still a kid, playing outside near the ocean. We were on a vacation with my parents. They were having drinks at the bar and I was sent to play on the beach. They wanted me to build sandcastles or whatever..

I was always stubborn. No one could change that, so I started to wander around the beach, when I noticed a child sitting on a massive stone. He was there completely alone. It looked like he was crying.

When I walked towards him, he hurriedly dried his eyes.

"I saw that you were crying."

"So what?" He just shouted at me and jumped down from the stone.

"You are a crybaby." I laughed at him.

"My parents died, so I should be laughing right?" He shouted at me and started to ran away. I was shocked. I did not expect this to be the reason. I could have never imagined to be without parents.

"Heeey... I'm sorry.. Wait for me... Please..." I shouted at him and started to chase him.

"Leave me alone, I don't want to talk to you, I don't like you." He stopped and turned his face towards me. I saw those gorgeously beautiful sparkling blue eyes.

"Oh, wow. Your eyes are so pretty." I was amazed, but he only blinked a few times in shock and his eye color changed. "How come that they are now brown? I liked the blue better." I told him and he was just shocked.

"It did not scare you?"

"Why would it? We are the same." I told him and showed him my red eyes.

"Oh.. wow.. your eyes are prettier." he said.

"I am Vegas, what is your name? We can be friends."

"My name is Pete." he handed me his hand shyly, "I don't have any friends, only him." Pete said and pointed at a person standing a few meters away and watching us.
