"i don't like the way this guy's looking at you," minho half-hissed, half-growled.

next to him, hyunjin let out a long-suffering sigh and explained patiently: "hyung, he's the photographer. he's trying to figure out where to put me for the group photo."

"it's not that. he's checking you out," minho protested, glaring bloody murder at the innocent photographer, who was obviously simply doing his job. minho's grip on hyunjin's waist thightened, causing several staff members to start giggling and whispering to each other.

checking something on his camera, the photographer beckoned to hyunjin. "come here, please."

before hyunjin could make a beeline toward the photographer, minho pulled him back, gently, and yelled: "what do you want with him?"

clueless, the man blinked. "um, it's time for the solo photoshoots, and he is first. is there a problem?"

hyunjin tried to remove minho's hand from his waist. "no, not at all." he forced a smile at the photographer. would minho ever stop being jealous of someone's breathing near hyunjin?

minho reluctantly let go of him. he had to breathe in and then breathe out, and breathe in again, and breathe out again – until he calmed down. it was kind of working. he almost persuaded his brain that the photographer was indeed simply doing his job.

then, though, one of the female stylists approached hyunjin, and minho stopped thinking straight again.

the thing is, she was not one of their usual stylists, who were all married women or men significantly older than them. this girl was young and attractive, about minho's age, maybe his peer, and she was part of the designer team of the brand that stray kids were doing a photoshoot for today.

worse, she had been eyeing hyunjin the whole morning, and by eyeing, minho's jealous mind supplied, was meant that she could not tear her huge, sparkly eyes away from him. minho could relate to her – he caught himself ogling at hyunjin at least five times a day, but hyunjin was his. he was not that stupid girl's, and he did not like it in the slightest that she was touching hyunjin.

"frying fried rice cakes again, minho-yah?"

the voice made minho jump. absorbed in his jealous thoughts and glaring, he had not noticed when seungmin had come to stand next to him. the younger sported his usual infuriating expression, self-confident and amused.

"what does this even mean?" minho asked, squinting at him.

"it's a japanese proverb," seungmin deigned to explain, but in a voice that screamed that he considered his intelligence superior to minho's, "for fools like you who get jealous for no reason. you bullied the members. now you're bullying the staff. tsch," he scoffed dismissively.

minho sent him an incinerating glare. "i wonder how smart-ass you'd be in my place."

"not much," seungmin conceded. "dating hyunjin is not smart."

minho swatted him on the head. "don't talk shit about my boyfriend. only i can say things like that."

seungmin whistled. "possessive much." he motioned with his head in hyunjin's direction. "i think she's the problem, though, not me," he snickered.

minho followed seungmin's gaze and hated what he saw. now, patience was patience, but the stylist girl was crossing boundaries there. what right did she have to touch hyunjin's hair? it was only for minho to touch and stroke, and play with when hyunjin fell asleep on his shoulder mid-movie during their movie nights, which had become an unspoken rule since hyunjin asked for it a week ago in that locker room.
