War was always problematic. People just didn't want to fight. In their hearts they're all namby-pamby traders who want to take junior out to the ball park on the weekend. Even with the finest psychologists it was near impossible, those "Your country needs you" posters just wouldn't cut it anymore. Why would they? It wasn't like they didn't have androids walking around. Walking computer systems that could be replaced easily with a blink of an eye. No need to breathe, eat, or even drink. They were just there. Existing without the need to exist.

Jacob Anderson didn't know what to think when he first laid his eyes on Cyberlifes most advanced android.

Its synthetic skin glowing with perfection, a playful smile nearly too mischievous, hidden behind the slight curve of her lips.

To say his mind was empty with utter astonishment, was an understatement. Not only was the android a replica of the most perfect thing the Anderson has ever laid his eyes on in his life-

The Android was a woman, with lengthy black, perfectly wavy hair that fell past her shoulder blades and licked the center of her back. Brown Freckles peppered across her nose and cheeks that elucidated her green eyes, and on her temple comfortably sat a bright purple LED, a constant reminder to those around her that she was an android, designed to serve.

Cyberlife had once again, outdone themselves.

Like any other soldier, the Android accompanied camouflage green uniform that was nicely fitted to her figure. Although the android did carry Cyberlife's signature slogan and armband, both were coloured purple like the LED on her temple and were a great contrast to her white serial number and model type she adorned on the right side of her uniform.

You could consider Jacob Anderson impressed. Most people viewed Androids as a lower life form, their LED a harsh reminder of human evolution. Slowly but surely, the advanced prototype had managed to worm its way into even the coldest of android haters in Anderson's unit. And Jacob himself, had quickly adapted to becoming the NV1000's partner, understanding the death of his nephew, Cole Anderson wasn't the android's fault. But was in fact the doctor who couldn't operate due to red ice consumption.

The pair were interesting to say the least. The NV1000 cracked jokes to lighten the mood, and Jacob even then further completed those jokes with his own unique sense of humour.

The team had collectively came up with a name to call the Android.

Nova they had called her. A lively, but strong name. Reflecting her playful personality and occasionally cold nature. A name that was becoming a well known, and in some cases, feared out in the battlefield.

The name only spread like wildfire on the fatal day she had become deviant, the day Nova became alive. Unknown to her, She had deviated a few months after the android rebellion, during a 6-month tour in Afghanistan with her partner.

nearing the end of their 6-month tour and were showing subtle signs of PTSD, the pair were sent home for R&R, a military slang for rest and recuperation.

Jacob and Ava had inevitably met up with Hank Anderson and his android partner, Connor. An android that made Ava feel more alive than she thought possible. An Android, that unknowingly provided a haven from the horrors of war.

Hey guys, I would just like to thank you for clicking on this story and giving it a chance. I hope you continue to like reading it just as I enjoy writing it. I can't wait for those that stick around to find out more about Nova! Please feel free to comment your thoughts and even theories in the comment section!
