Second Year,
Zonko's

As she stood on the platform patiently waiting to board the train, she sighed as this would be the first trip she was taking alone. No Ethan, no Laura, no Phoebe. Her uncle Regulus noticed her unusual silence he cleared his throat grabbing her attention.

"Your dad was often in deep thought if he was quiet what's on your mind?"

"I don't like being the only one here," he creased his brows "I've always done everything with Phoebe and Laura and now I'm standing on the platform alone, I don't like it,"

"Eventually, there's going to come a time when you'll drift away from each other, you'll start dating and having your own lives,"

"I know it's just Phoebe's vision-

"Try not to worry, your mum and dad are going to talk to Dumbledore, hopefully, he can offer some assurance for her,"

"ALL ABOARD!"

Phoebe wasn't assured at all in fact she was suspicious of their parent's conversation with Dumbledore. She even went as far as to question whether she could trust their headmaster. Rhea sat in her common room trying to grasp the notes from her class, even though she wrote them, she doesn't understand a single word.

"Come on," Fred said she looked up at him, "come on, we're going to Hogsmeade," waving the map

"What?"

"You haven't been yet, George and I go all the time,"

"Is George coming with us?"

"No, just you and me, start fresh remember,"

"Alright, I don't think I'll be getting this done any time soon,"

"I solemnly swear I'm up to no good," he said revealing the map, "This way," he said showing her the secret passageway.

She knew they had found a way to Hogsmeade when they first had the map to themselves. She had always been cautious of going to the village, knowing Ethan went frequently to Hogsmeade with his friends. He might have had mischievous nature just like her, but he was also a good student and she didn't want to get caught by him.

They found themselves walking through a dark tunnel, she stayed close to Fred, after the last shortcut they had taken, it left her feeling a little cautious. He smirked as she stayed close to him, he resisted the urge to mock her, the whole point of this was to start over.

"Be quiet we're nearly here," he waited by a ladder listening for someone above them he held his finger up to her warning her to be quiet. He lifted the door in the checking the shop owner wasn't around. "Alright come on,"

"Where are we?" she asked

"Honeydukes" he gestured for her to follow him, they waited until people weren't looking their way as they slipped through the door into the sweet store.

"I can't believe we're here," she squealed clapping her hands, "I've got to see Zonko's, can we go please?"

"Sure," he showed the way to the store, she smiled brightly as she looked all around the old wizarding village, she held his hand running towards the Joke store.

"What shall we get?"

"Depends, who do you have in mind to prank," he said looking around Zonko's

"I really want to get Filch with something, or that horrid cat,"

"Well, there's Hiccough Sweets, Nose-Biting teacup though he doesn't seem like much of a tea person,"

"What about Fanged frisbee?" She suggested, he hummed agreeing with her.

"He could confiscate them from us, he'll believe he's punishing us when really...

"He'll be get pranked," She said, smiling as she purchased the fanged frisbee. "Don't you want to get anything?" she asked, after noticing he wasn't looking around at many things,

"I'm good,"

"You aren't going to get anything? We didn't come here just for me,"

"Yeah, we did you haven't been before I thought it'd be fun, I can't get much so best save up for something truly worth my money," he smiled at her

"Well, if you wanted something, I could get it for you-

"No, I don't take handouts,"

"I didn't mean to offend you in any way," he rolled his eyes at her

"It's fine, I'm used to people offering, thinking they're doing us a favour,"

"I don't think I'm doing you a favour, I was thinking more of you're my friend, we'll be using it together won't we?" he sighed

"I wouldn't want to owe you money," she smiled at him,

"Do you think there's anything else we could use against Filch," she asked, he smirked at her

"I know what you're doing,"

"I'm not doing anything, we might not get to come here again," he chuckled, she smiled at him,

"Then a few dung bombs would be worth it,"

She purchased a couple of dung bombs, typical he'd picked something simple rather than branching out on something new. She wouldn't have minded buying something else, he thanked her, promising to pay her back as soon as they got back to their common room.

As they returned back to the school, they used the map to avoid the professors, figuring out that they just came from Hogsmeade. Upon reaching their common room, Rhea immediately told George of their plan for Filch, while Fred snuck away, when he came back, he slipped her the money for the Dungbombs.

"I told you, it didn't matter-

"Don't fret about it, just take it," she smiled taking the money from him, when he turned around, she handed the money to George.

"I bought it myself, he never asked so he doesn't need to pay,"

George understood her but didn't like that she felt a need to buy him something, it might have been innocent in her mind. But not to them, he'd explain it to her another day, for now, he let her do her little good deed for them.

Fred had to admit he enjoyed the day with her, they might have started off on the wrong foot. After realising they weren't so different, he knows they could be great friends, partners in crime. He could kick himself for denying her friendship for so long, the three of them were destined to cause mayhem.
