Ted Tonks stepped in to set up the DVD with the help of an older, muggle-born student.
While they did that, Albus Dumbledore, from his seat at the high table, observed everyone's reactions. The Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs were, predictably, the most excited about this, at least outwardly. The Ravenclaws were curious, exchanging theories among themselves. The Slytherins' faces were crafted into carefully disinterested expressions, not giving away their thoughts.
The teachers were showing various emotions, most prominently interest and concern, especially the heads of houses. Severus' face was, as usual, blank as a white board.
The aurors were paying extra attention, looking attentive, undoubtedly, as to not miss any information about this other world.
Everyone wanted to know who these students were, though some had already deduced it. Albus' eyes went to the four students congregating together with their other friends.
Lavender Brown, Susan Bones, Caelum Black, and Blaise Zabini.
Now that was a group he didn't see coming. He narrowed his eyes at them, thinking very carefully about how he could turn this to his advantage.
Regulus noticed Dumbledore's calculated glare directed at his nephew and stiffened. He would have to pay close attention to Dumbledore and keep Caelum away from him. He would not let him ruin his family, and he will protect Caelum and Olivia.
Everyone sat in anticipation as the movie began.
The scene fades in, showing a view of a beach. Ocean waves are crashing, and seagulls are squawking. Drums start beating rhythmically. A man is seen jogging, and drum beats stop as he notices something in the sand. He clears the sand from the box; it says 'Jumanji'.
People were confused as to why they were watching this, though some recognised the drum beats that they had heard earlier.
"What's Jumanji?" asked a Gryffindor seventh year student. Hermione spares him an annoyed glance: "Didn't you hear the letter? It's the name of the other dimension," She answered him snootily.
He glowered at her and muttered "insufferable mudblood" under his breath. His friend gave him a hard nudge.
"Why would he pick up something that made him hear drums?" questioned Cedric Diggory, nonplussed.
"It's cursed, I'm telling you," sixth year Ravenclaw student Steven Tully intoned ominously.
He runs back to a house with the box under his arm.
"He took the evil-looking board game with him," Terry Boot was perplexed. This was definitely going to bite him in the ass.
"This muggle is stupid," declared Astoria primly.
The man knocks on the door of a teenager who was asleep in bed.
"Hey, kiddo," the father (presumably) calls out, waking the boy in the process.
"What?" answers the boy, crankily.
Sixth year Jason Urquhart gaped, his eyebrows were so high they almost disappeared. If he dared to use that tone with his own father, he would definitely get crusio'd. A chill travelled down his spine as he remembered his last punishment for failing Charms and Potions last year. Not that it mattered if he did pass; his father always made up reasons to 'discipline' him.
"I found something. You gotta check this out."
"He brought the thing home? And to his son?" deadpanned Terry. Anthony Goldstein sighed.
