"Do you hear me? You change, and you never turn back. Do you hear me Nox? You take your brother, and you run. And don't you dare look back. Do you hear me? YOU CHANGE AND DON'T LOOK BACK!" I startled awake when she screamed those finally words at me. Shooting straight up in bed. I was covered in a cold sweat. My chest heaving as I felt like I was suffocating. I gripped the sheets of my bed to reground myself. It was a nightmare. "Just a nightmare..." I repeat out loud to be sure. Wiping the sweat from my face with my hands. "I don't remember her yelling like that." I croak in thought.

"Getting worse?"

I jump again to find Zen leaning against the doorway to my quarters. Arms crossed and staring at me with his glowing eyes. Looking like he'd been there awhile.

"H-how long have you been there?" I mustered up the question as I swallow down my shivers.

"Enough." He said. Pushing himself off the wall and making his way over to me. "Enough to know there's something seriously wrong with you." He gave me a sort of look.

I gave a heavy sigh. Running my hands through my hair. Then dropping my arms on my knees. "It was just a nightmare." I explained.

"Yeah no shit." He stopped as he stood beside my bed. Arms still crossed over his chest. Looking down at me like he was about to scold. "What was it about?"

"Just... just a stupid thing with one of my ex's." I lie, shake my head to get rid of the shivers from the actual nightmare.

"Do you normally call your ex's mom?" He lifted an eyebrow.

"Huh???" I suddenly look up at him.

"You talk in your sleep. Or at least, your nightmares." Zen shrugged like it was normal information.

"Oh." Dropping my gaze awkwardly to the sheets of my bed.

"Wanna talk about it?"

I pause at what he just said, surprised he was actually offering to listen. But I snapped back and shook my head slightly. "No I'm, I'm okay. It was just a nightmare."

"Don't think just because I'm so fucked up that it means you can't ask for help." He frowned at me. "We're in this together, you said so yourself." And nodded my way. Making me bite at my own words.

"I know." Returning my gaze to him I manage to force a weak smile. "But I'm okay. Really." But he didn't look convincing for even a second. But after a moment he sighed and uncrossed his arms.

"Fine. But the offer still stands, cap'n." He gave me a look before departing from my side. He looked back once just before he walked out, and I forced yet another smile. Only when he was gone and the door to my quarters slid shut did I drop it. Running a hand through my sweaty hair.

"God, I dunno how much longer I can do this Nick..."
