Jungkook ducked his face to avoid the cameras and drew the hood closer. His facemask would cover his swollen cheeks and the hand prints. Hoseok also helped him apply ice bag after the doctor checked on him. His head ached and eyes felt swollen.

Seokjin didn't utter a word and was occupied with his phone most of the time while they were waiting in the lounge. Inside the airplane, Jungkook waited for a chance to speak to Seokjin. However, the timing just wasn't right.

"How are you feeling now?" Seokjin asked once the flight took off.

"Hurts a little bit," Jungkook whispered. Guilt ate at him from the inside.

Seokjin nodded. "I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't think he would do that. Rest, Jungkook. It's a long journey to Honolulu. I'm also exhausted. Let's talk once we have settled in our room, okay?"

Jungkook nodded mutely. What else could he say when Seokjin just reclined in his seat and put on his eye mask before going to sleep?

Sleep evaded Jungkook and he numbly stared at the sky. The clouds usually enticed him but today it did nothing. His heart felt too heavy even after talking to Hoseok. Jimin's phone was still switched off.
