Without even realising, I found myself at where it should've all began, but instead everything ended there.

I was sitting at the roof of the Orpheum and enjoyed the silence of the night. Due to all the stress I had been in in the last months, it seemed therapeutic to just sit there, not doing anything. Instead of living myself, it felt nice to watch how other people lived from up here.

An old woman was walking with a little puppy in a pram and seemed to be humming a tune that made her smile. Her hair was snow-white and her skin seemed wrinkled and dry. I marvel at how many challenges life had thrown at her and how she still managed to keep smiling. She must have watched all her closest friends and family members leave her one by one. But even though life was cruel to her, she laughed happily to herself. She lived on.

On the same side of the street a mother held a child on each hand and all three ran while singing a children's song. How lucky. I hope the children would appreciate their mother now and in the future.

Followed by them a group of boys were singing a song beautifully. I suppose they were about to perform at the Orpheum. Or they already did. Must be nice.

»FUCK YOU FATE,« I screamed so loudly that my throat started to scratch and I could feel the adrenaline in my stomach. It felt liberating.

One of the boys stopped and I was already hoping that he might have heard me, but he didn't look up. His head was fixed on the ground, as if he had remembered that he had forgotten something important. It didn't take the other four long to notice that he was no longer walking or singing along, so they jerked their heads around and looked at him in surprise.

»You ok, mate?« One of them questioned however, the wolf cut boy did not react. Right then, he did look up. Found him. Finally someone was able to see me.

The boy then lowered his gaze again and walked to his friends. I dropped from the roof, landed on my feet and followed the five. It was my last chance. At least that's what the strange grandmother said.

Wolf cut boy anxiously looked behind a few times and received confused looks from his friends. I did not bother to hide every time he looked back. Instead, I gave him a mischievous smirk.

They stopped backstage in their waiting room. I went in. And no one seemed to notice my presence except for wolf cut boy.

»You can see me, right?« I asked smiling. Finally someone could see me. Someone who wasn't that weird old lady from a few hours ago.

He did not react. Well, obviously he didn't want to seem like a complete psycho in front of his friends. And it was a rhetorical question anyway. The answer was clear.

»We killed it today!« A boy said. »Even though it was an improvisation, I think we did a great job.«

He seemed to be the enthusiast of the band. Reminding me of Luke. We played for a book club once and even though the rest of the band was in a bad mood after the performance, he was the only one to be enthusiastic about playing at a library. He really took all opportunities he could get for the band.

I miss you.

»Yeah, you're right,« the tallest said tiredly, however it didn't sound convincing like how Mr. Enthusiast said it. It was barely a whisper.

The other two were staring at rectangle things in their hands that emitted light.

Wolf cut boy stared at me for good five minutes. It was as if he was trying to communicate with me, but I didn't get a thing.

»I'll be right back.« He said making some of the boys nod.

He held the door a little longer than one would do and motioned me with his eyes to get my ass out immediately. Right after I left, he shut the door down and looked at me again.

»You didn't have to open the door for me, you know I can just fly-«

»Follow me,« he cut me mid sentence making me sulk.

He climbed some stairs with me in tow and stopped on the roof. Up here, the sun drove away the night and slowly the morning dawned.

»What time is it?,« I asked before he could yell at me asking what the heck I was and what I want from him or before he ran away from me in fear.

He also had that rectangular rock or whatever it was. He looked at it briefly and suddenly he knew the exact time. It must be like magic.

»It's 5:53,« he uttered.
