Chapter 11

Chapter 11/ Ricky's POV

As I walked away from my mate's house it got me thinking. I want to protect her and love her with all my heart. Not just to rub it in Raiden's face. It's because I truly love her. Cliche I know huh? I ran my hand down my chest and stomach absentmindedly while walking through the forest back to my house. It was dark but warm out and only a quarter of the moon was out tonight. I stopped and leaned against a tree tilting my head back to rest against the rough bark of the tree. I stared at the moon for I don't know how long. Maybe about 10 minutes. I wasn't sure. I walked another mile to my house,slipped in quietly and went to my room. I plonked down on my bed and put my arm over my eyes falling asleep to the image of my mate sleeping in her bed.

Raiden's POV

I curled my lip up sniffing slightly looking below at Ricky's form while I was high up in a tree completely still. I watched as he stared at MY mate. I grinded my teeth together as I watched him walk the short distance to her house in his wolf form. I stopped grinding my teeth together as I stared at his wolf form. I haven't seen him in his wolf form since..Just don't think about it Raiden. I was going to wrap my calloused hands around that werewolfs neck if he did anything else. I saw him jump into her window. I gritted my teeth slightly sliding down the tree a bit and settling my body on a branch so I can peer into her window. I snarled inaudibly to his ears as I watched their exchange. I didn't like him touching her..! God I'm sounding so possessive. But she is mine technically. "And his", my mind said feeling a bit sad. My body sagged a little bit as I leaned my elbows on my knees and closed my eyes waiting until he had walked away far enough.

I jumped down the rest of the way making a 'thump' sound and walked across her backyard. I jumped up landing on her window sill listening to any sounds in her house. When I heard none I slipped into her room and walked to her bedside. My mind must of have been somewhere else for a couple of seconds because she started stirring. I darted into her closet keeping still but watching through the crack. I saw her sit up a little bit unsteady and grabbed her hairbrush. I couldn't help myself. I so badly wanted to brush her hair. I moved fast and was sitting beside her, the brush in my hand. I heard her gasp and turned around just as quick. She stared at me with wide eyes and it looked like she was speechless. "Why are you in my room?!", She whisper- yelled at me snatching the hairbrush back. " Well you didn't really mind Ricky being in your room huh..?", I said a little harshly. She got up and turned her back on me. Her face was heated as she answered me," That is none of your business." "On the contrary it sort of is because you are my mate also", I said standing up and going to stand right behind her. I pulled her back into me softly wrapping my arms around her small waist my nose going to the nape of her neck inhaling her scent. " Don't think I'm going to accept you easily", She hissed removing herself from my arms. " Your the one that sent my parents away, tortured my brother and now fate has paired me up with you?!", She said in a rushed breath. My eyes hardened a little bit. I had absolutely no right to be with her. After all I did do those terrible things to her and her brother. I knew this but..It just hurt even more coming from her mouth. As if she could read my thoughts she walked slowly to me and held my hand lightly. "You know this to be true..so why are you still here?", She said quietly and almost soothingly. " I love you..", I whispered clutching her hand more firmly and pulled her to me. I watched her face for a reaction. She opened her soft delicate mouth but then closed it again. I understand how she feels. Me confessing I love her when I caused her so much pain. " You don't have to say anything. Just think about it", I said and kissed her cheek letting her small hand fall out of mine and jumped from the window speeding into the night away from her house.
