Chapter 23

Kalin's POV

I had been riding in Sammy's Ford pickup truck for the last twenty minutes. The car smelled of peppermint and cigarettes.

" Hey em' who you going to the hospital for? " sammy said. God I am so sick of that nickname.

" Uh- my bestfriend... And my girlfriend." I said while looking out the window.

" Girlfriend? uh wow that is great.." She said. I think that maybe she thought I was single.. Oops?

Beckys pov

I was sitting on the bed with Myles and I was surrounded by an array of doctors and nurses.

" But he coughed! " I screamed through my tears.

" Yes Ms. Harrison but that is common among these types if tragedies. " the male doctor said to me.

" So that means he is not waking.." I said looking back at myles.

" I am afraid not. " the female doctor answered.

The doctors left the room and I was left there staring at Myles.

I decided to go get a snack from the cafeteria so I went to the elevator and pressed the down button.

When the doors opened I girl who looked a lot like Jessica was looking down at her phone.

" j? " I said as I entered the cool elevator.

The girl looked up reveling her freckles.

" Um. No. My name is Alona." she said.

" sorry " I said and pressed the lobby button on the elevator.

" Haha it is all good" she said.

When I got downstairs I walked toward the cafeteria when I saw Kalin. I was about to call out to him when I saw this brunette chick on his arm.

Feeling stabbed I walked to the cafeteria and ignored it.
