“Well, Tobias, I believe you’re ok to begin walking around on your own.” Pain stated while looking over Toby’s scarred legs. “Though I will warn you, the occupants here are not the friendliest. Many will try to fight with you, so be weary.”
Toby only nodded, not really paying attention, he was far more interested in watching Jack munch on a kidney. It was some sick fascination for him, but that was the last thing to worry about when it came to the teen. If anything that was one of the most normal things about him.
“Do you think I should show him around?” Brian asked from beside Pain.
“Is Tim here?”
“Yea, but I’m sure he won’t pay attention to Toby. If anything he’s just gonna be passive towards him.”
Even though Brian said this in confidence, he was anything but confident about his statement. For the past few days Tim had been extra irritable, thanks to his prescription running out and his inability to find any more. The man who would normally go out and get him the pills was out on a mission and wouldn’t be back for about a month or so. That meant Tim would be stuck without for a while, which greatly inconvenienced everyone around him.
“Alright, I’ll trust you. But if anything happens I most likely won’t be able to help. Jeff and Liu are coming back from their mission and I’m sure the two got into another fight that I’ll have to clean up.” Pain focused his yellow eyes on Jack, who was still devouring human organs, “You and Brian will have to take care of him.”
The demon only nodded, too busy chewing his food.
“I shall see you all on another day,” Pain finally stated while walking out of the room, leaving Brian to show Toby around the busy complex.

The two men walk around, Toby zoned out, and Brian trying to get him to listen to his tour of the building. Moreso trying to get him to listen to the dangers of the building’s occupants. Though, there were a few who were harmless and mostly messed around with people, though they were dangerous to any outsiders. An elf, Ben Drowned. A demonic clown, Laughing Jack. A little ghost girl, Sally. Two kind women, Jane the killer and Clockwork. Brian himself. Then lastly an undead male, Homicidal Liu. The only time Liu or Jane acted out was if it had to do with Jeff, someone the two despised.
Anyone and anything else was a high threat that most tried to avoid. Even Jack was considered one of the high threats. Actually, he was considered one of the highest threats, he was one of the most dangerous in the place, even though he was actually very tame compared to most. It was most likely thanks to his demon ranking as well as past incidents, the biggest one involving Tim. Hense Tim’s fear of the demon.
