“I was the perfect warrior, cold and ruthless. I lived by my strength alone, uninhibited by foolish emotion!”
- Lord Vegeta IV, the Prince of all Saiyans (a character from the Dragon Ball franchise)
I’m only 21
I’m about to finish two novels and another one
My days are longer, I write for 24 hours and then some
I work like I was born under a different sun
I suppose Superman should never have time to do anything funI’ve got nephews and nieces to save
Looking at them I only see future tuition fees to pay
It took a high school essay to realise I could change lives by filling a page
But like the prince, my emotions are leading me astrayTurns out there’s more to life than the amount of words I can write a day
To be honest, I’d rather video call Bonnie and stare at her beautiful face
I’d rather spend my time laughing at the gossip we always exchange
Big sis’ Regina lives only a block away
Her little kids are always shouting my name
Asking me to come watch a movie with them every second day
We barely do cause me and their mother rather watch them play
I can never refuse an invite to the only place that always has a warm space
I’m at my happiest doing nothing but being human amongst loved ones for a changeFighting too hard for goals gives you Vegeta’s fate
Trying too hard to be great pushes your heart to an early grave
You’ll regret it when the sacrifices you made don’t equate to the success you gained
Vegeta fought hard to get power and power drove him insane
Crying in the rain having caused his family pain
He had only himself to blame
My skill keeps improving as of late
I write less from inspiration and more from intuition and faith
It excites me to simply say,
‘I’VE GOT ANOTHER BOOK COMING YOUR WAY!’
My ego and pride never fail to motivate
I’m just another Prince Vegeta always going forward, keeping to the right lane
So if everything goes left and I die from… I don’t know, overworking my brain?Just remember that Ta MaLegend actually chose this fate
