“Somebody told me, ‘In life we’re so busy doing things, we forget how to be human beings. We end up being human doings’
… how can I complain? – I’m higher than a plane”
- from the song ‘Till I Die (Outro)’ by Riky Rick
Sometimes I dream
I see myself flying private class over seas
I see the blue ocean waving at me
I’m so high you’d never believeMe and Regina share this dream
Imagine wanting a life you can only see in a movie scene
Imagine wanting to live your life like the acting you always see
Imagine wanting to live inside your television screenAnd Regina is always watching the bigger picture
Directing her own life, she only lives by the power her mind can give her
Reading through the lines, no man ever born can trick her
Playing her part as a mother, I wish my own had made her my bigger sisterAnd I know that her spirit can never break before she makes a way
I just wish this life wasn’t such a ‘make or break’
Trying to change your fate, you could lose everything with one mistake
She’s always giving me life lessons whenever we conversateI listen to her cause she’s lived through troubles again and again
I listen cause she has had more than her fair share of pain
Through it all, her happiness is never drained
I listen to her cause she’s more than surviving – she’s thriving, dear enemy look at the smile on her face!
Her other name is Refiloe and indeed, ‘we were given by the Lord’A mother, a sister, a friend and an angel – all I can say is Thank God!
