Liv's point of view

I walked out of his room and down the stairs, I had my hair tied up in a loose bun, I left ringlets on either side of my face and at the back of my neck, the colour of my hair stood out along with the black of the dress. I felt like a princess, as I made my way to the living room Jason got up and turned to look at me, "Wow!! Fuck!", I smiled, "I guess you like it?", it looked like he was about to choke on his drink, "Like it? You look fucking amazing, but there's one more thing I have for you to wear", he picked up a box from the table and opened it, I was momentarily blinded by the necklace that was in the box. It was a thin white gold necklace but the pendant was made completely of diamonds, it was a J, it actually looked like his signature and it shone.

"I can't possibly wear that!", he looked at me as he took it out of the box, "Well you're going to have to, it goes with the dress, and I.... insist" as he said the last word he leaned into my bare neck and lightly bit me, my whole body ignited. I nodded, no more resistance, I let him put the necklace on for me. It looked amazing, I looked in the mirror, he stood behind me with his hands on my shoulders, "Now, you're perfect. Let's go babe, we can't be late".

As we drove through the streets of LA the lights twinkled, I felt Jason's hand on my leg for most of the trip and his fingertips lightly tracing circles on my knee, I tried ignoring it and looking out at the beautiful scenery but the thought of his fingers on me made me weak. I need to break his wall down, somehow, I needed to find a weak spot and I needed to find it fast. I had one week to do this. He pulled into a massive driveway, as we wound our way towards the restaurant, he said, "I hope tonight won't be too boring for you", I shook my head, "No, I don't think any night would be boring if I was next to you." I put my hand on his thigh and leaned in, giving him a soft kiss on his neck and I said, "Tonight will be for you and me". I turned and opened the door, as I got out of the car I smirked, I was about to play him at his own game, time to break down the walls, and time for him to lose control.

He walked around the car to me and put his hand on my back, leaning down to me, he whispered, "You do NOT want to play this game with me Liv", we smiled at the doorman and made our way to the reception desk, Jason took control "We are meeting Mr Birkeland, he said the booking was for 8?" the restaurant manager nodded, "Yes, just this way" and he made his way through the tables, Jason let me lead the way and I felt eyes on me, as I looked around I noticed almost everyone in the restaurant stopped to look at us, well, I think they were looking at Jason, but I suppose they wanted to know who I was.

The table was in a quiet corner of the restaurant and Jason pulled my chair out, I sat down and he leaned down "Did I tell you how amazing you look tonight?", I smiled, "I don't believe you have?". He lightly kissed my shoulder and I trembled, he always teased with light touches and kisses that I was left in a puddle of mush. The waiter brought a bottle of water and I immediately ordered a glass of wine, if my plan was going to work I needed courage, Dutch courage as they call it. Jason ordered a beer and we waited.

"So Miss Rickhard, do you like playing games with me?" I glanced at him, I needed to play this cool, "Whatever do you mean Mr Bryant?" I smiled at him. His smirk and the dark blue flashed in his eyes, I felt his hand on my thigh, "Trust me babe, you do not want to play this game with me, I always win.", I smiled and looked deep into his deep blue eyes, I answered with a lot more confidence than I felt, "Well one day you may just meet your match", our guests arrived at that moment.

The dinner was long, they spoke for at least two hours, I had to translate quite a bit of what the investors said, but it felt good for Jason to depend on me, everything went well, the investors were going to draw up contracts and they said they would be happy to put their money into the business, it was so exciting, he looked like a kid on Christmas morning. His smile lit up my heart, his beautiful ice blue eyes shone like diamonds and I knew things were going to be okay.
