Chapter 10 - Surprised or Not

Liv's point of view

I was getting my hair straightened when Jason walked in, he was wearing the suit for the show and he looked... well, breathtaking, I smiled "Well don't you scrub up well!" I sounded a lot calmer than I felt, I was about to put the dress on, and I really wasn't sure how I was going to walk down a runway with him next to me, wearing a wedding dress. Kirsty came in with the dress covered in a black dress bag, "You're not meant to be in here mister, wait out there for her" she scolded playfully, he smirked "Yes ma'am! See you out there gorgeous!". She looked at me then and smiled "Cannot believe you're dating the hottest singer in LA, don't let him go!", I stood up to take the dress from her "I know, I sometimes can't believe it myself".

She helped me pull the bag off and when I saw it I gasped, it was intensely beautiful, I had last seen it as a work in progress, the final product was really a masterpiece. "It's so beautiful Kirsty, I am not sure how I am going to pull it off", she gave me a playful poke in the ribs "Of course you can pull it off! This dress was made for you!", I smiled, remembering that I was meant to wear the dress over a year ago, but I can't think about that right now. Kirsty helped me step into the dress, it did fit perfectly, she slowly tied the back, it was sheer chiffon material with a silk camisole and skirting, it fitted to my body and flared out at the knee, it only had one shoulder, but had the most beautiful little flowers embroidered all the way to the hip, the bodice was tapered with the chiffon and gave an illusion of depth. Kirsty placed a small tiara of white gold and diamonds on my head and I wore a matching bracelet.

I turned to look in the mirror and didn't recognise myself, she really did an amazing job with the dress. "You look amazing! I am so happy you finally did get to wear the dress after all" she looked at me and smiled, I nodded, "Yes, it really is perfect, thank you Kirsty, it would have been amazing." I looked down then and tried to calm myself, I couldn't break down and cry now. "Well, I am ready!" I turned to face her, she clapped her hands like an excited child. "Let's go astonish your man outside!". My heart raced, remembering that Jason was about to see me in a wedding dress. I walked out of the dressing room and as he turned to look at me, I saw the look in his eyes, I felt my heart race, my palms were sweaty and I stopped in shock.

Charley's point of view

I opened my eyes and looked at the time, I groaned inwardly, it was way too early to be awake, I looked over at his peaceful face and he looked so handsome, I slowly got up and made my way to the living room. Opening the patio door I felt the fresh morning breeze, I sat down and relished in the quiet, I could hear the waves crashing and it was such a serene sound, I could definitely wake up to this everyday. We had finished dinner the night before and come back to the hotel room, we spent, a few hours "catching up", yes, I did beg, and he delivered, I felt my heart race and the butterflies in my stomach didn't stop. I couldn't believe I was sitting here at 3AM wide awake, it was dark, but I could see the twinkling lights of the houses in the distance and the white waves crashing on the dark shore looked so beautiful. It was warm out, and the clean ocean air was calming. 

There are times when you realise your life has changed, over the course of 2 years I am in a completely different place than I thought I would be. I was happy, things were going to work out, and I couldn't wait. I thought about Shayne, he was perfect. Yes, we have both made mistakes, but doesn't everyone? He made some bad choices, don't we all choose people that are bad for us? I know I certainly have my fair share of mistakes, but I know one thing, I can't walk away from him, he is and will forever be a part of me. I remember the day we met, his smile, or smirk I should say, I remember his touch, so hot to my skin, and it still is. You could be anywhere when your life begins, when the future opens up in front of you, sometimes you don't realise it at first, but it's already happening, you just need to be ready for the ride.
