chapter 4 - Friends

Stumbling and falling to the ground you try to carry yourself to the nearest hospital. The pain of your burning wrist spreading through your body makes it near impossible to move your legs. You fall to the ground unable to go any further and scream in agony. The pain starts to become too much, and you start losing consciousness and as you fade you hear a blur of words a blond child carrying you in his arms.

Time skip 4 hours....

You opened your eyes to see eight people that you didn't know standing over you. To the left of you was a short blonde boy who looked somewhere between 7 and 10 years old, a pretty silver haired girl in a skimpy outfit, and a very tall man with blue hair and scary red eyes. in front of you there was a short man with a smart looking mustache and glasses who looked really scared of everything. Next to him was another girl, no she was a woman in a purple bra-jacket thing with piercing hazel eyes and a floating blue/black ball at her side. On the other side of you was another girl who had cute pigtails in her hair and was wearing the same skimpy outfit as the silver haired girl. Next to her was another child who was floating in midair on a fluffy looking green pillow. And then there was another person they had pink hair and glasses and they were wearing the same outfit as the two girls, but you couldn't tell if they were a girl or a boy.

You slowly tried sitting up and looked around, you noticed that you were lying down on a table in a bar "Where...am I? Who are....... you?" you say groggily to the people surrounding you. You tried sitting up fully but were held back by something, you looked down and saw that you were cuffed to the table at your wrists and ankles. You franticly tried pulling your limbs free, but it was no use. "Who are you?!" you repeated with more urgency in your tone. "We should be asking who you are." said the short blond boy. You took another look around and saw there was no chance of escaping on your own, so you gave in and answered his question. " My name Is Amity and I'm a commoner in the kingdom of Lioness. And who are all of you?" you ask the boy angerly. " So, you say you're from Lioness...? Then why do you have this mark on your wrist!" He says thoughtfully at first but ends in a yell as he grabs your left wrist turning it upwards. " Hey that hurts!" you say trying to wiggle your hand out of his grip, but he is really strong for a child. " Meliodas easy don't hurt her!" says the silver haired girl as she grabs his hand and gently pulls it off of mine. " My boyfriend is going to hunt you down when he finds out that the Seven Deadly Sins kidnaped me!" you say sternly at all of them " Oh Ya and who's your boyfriend huh beautiful?" Said the blue haired guy that you assumed was Ban the Fox Sin of Greed. " Well, if you must know he is Howzer of the Holly Knights of Lioness."

"Howzer? Your Howser's girlfriend?" said the silver haired girl with a smile on her face " Yes, I am." you say back wondering why she was smiling. Then she runs out of the room and comes back in with a key. She hands it to Meliodas, and he reluctantly unlocks your cuffs. The girl takes note of your confused look and smiles " I'm Princess Elisabeth, the third Princess of Lioness and Howzer is a good friend of ours!" She says cheerfully. You immediately get up and curtsy before the princess and she stands you up strait. " No need for that." she says with a giggle and your grateful to have someone you trust in this situation. " So why am I here and why did you cuff me?" you ask wearily of Meliodas's who's looking at you with angry eyes. " Well, we brought you here because you had passes out in the street and were in a lot of pain. And we didn't know who you were so we couldn't call anyone for you." Said the girl with pigtails that you guessed was Diane the Serpent Sin of Envy. " And we cuffed you because of that." Said Meliodas Dragon Sin of Wrath gesturing to the mark on your wrist. You looked at it in wonder and thankfulness that it wasn't burning anymore.

" What is it?" you asked. " You mean you really don't know?" questioned Meliodas " No I don't. Am I supposed to?" You looked at everyone confused waiting for someone to answer. " Merlin how can she have that mark if she's not a demon?" Meliodas sternly questioned Merlin the Boar Sin of Gluttony. " As far as I know she shouldn't have it at all, it's a demons mark it shouldn't be impossible for humans to get it." She responded with a look of intrigue on her face as she looked you up and down. " Miss Amity, was it? Are you 100% positive that your human." She said this with sure a straight face you were taken aback. " As far as I know I am my father was human, but I never really knew my mom..." you looked down as you said this saddened at the thought of your late mother. " Hmmm...." was all Merlin said and then vanished into thin air. " Where did she go!?" you asked shocked at the sudden exit. " Probably to her lab to do some research this is quite a strange situation." said the pink haired person who you know new was Gowther the Goat Sin of Lust.

" What situation?" you asked him confused. " The one where the human girl got a demon mate mark. Sparkle!" he responded with his classic peace sign. " MATE MARK???!!!" you shout trying to wrap your head around what Gowther had just said. " Wow so you really have no idea what is going on then. Sorry that I cuffed you, but it was a necessary precaution because we didn't know if you were a threat to us or not." Melodies says with a silly giggle and grin on his face no longer glaring at you.

" So, Lady Amity are you hungry we can make you something to eat if you are or I can get you a drink from the bar instead!" Elisabeth said cheerfully " Something to eat and to drink would be great if it's not too much trouble. And maybe someone can explain more about this?" You say as you turn you left wrist upwards showing off the black spiral now burnt onto your arm. " I'll cook! Elisabeth goes pour the drinks and Captain, Gowther since you are the only two here who know anything about this kind of demon shit you go have a talk with our new friend here." Ban says with a grin as he turns towards the kitchen.

" So, Amity looks like we have lots to talk about!" Meliodas says cheerfully grabbing 3 chairs and setting them down at a free table for you Gowther and himself. The three of you sit down ready to ask lots of questions and to answer lots in return. " So, umm what is a mate mark exactly?" you ask the two sins. " A mate mark is something you get when your mate is within a certain distance away from where you are when you get it." Meliodas' explains to you. " For fairies they get theirs when they are within 10 miles of their mate, for giants its 25, for goddesses it's when they meet their mate and for demons it's when they are 150 miles away." Gowther adds. You listen inventively taking it all in and thinking to yourself 'What the hell am I going to tell Howzer?"
