"MASON" i yelled calling him over to the swings and he immediately came over
"Rie?" He said standing in front of me, I picked up my legs and put my feet on his thighs and pushed him back
"Push me!!" I said happily, he nodded smiling and walked behind me placing two hands on my back beginning to push me
I felt the blood rush to my face this is such a cute moment i thought to myself, he continued pushing me and suddenly he began counting down?
"3! 2! 1!" He yelled and jumped onto my swing, he foot grasping onto any extra slither of platform
"Mason! What are you going your gonna fall!?!!" I said starting to freak out but all he did was laugh
Nonetheless I was glad I knew he felt the same way but I wish he would just ask the question yk? Why don't you ask? You may say.. well idk I'm just scared to, but In this moment that's not what I was thinking at all I was just smiling and laughing while Mason held on for dear life
"Ahhh" I yelled jumping off making him stumble off but still landing
We both started crying out laughing
"Oh my god what is wrong with you too?" Brooke said walking towards us with Miguel following behind, an ice-cream at hand
"OMG MIGUEL WERE DID YOU GET THAT" I said pointing at the ice cream he was eating
"An Ice cream truck passed by while you and Mason were on the swings"
"And you didn't wait? We were gonna get ice cream later" I argued looking at him
"See that's what I told him but he refused" Brooke added while he held up his hands in defense
"Should we start leaving then to go get some?" Mason cut into the conversation
"YES" I yelled jumping up
"We've only been here for like an hour?" Brooke added
"So? I want ice cream" I commented and Mason pointed to me nodded his head agreeing
"Fine let's go" Brooke said and we all began walking
The good thing they lived in an area that was near a lot of stores and shops so the ice cream shop was just a 20 minute walk from the park, Brooke and miguel walked ahead while me and Mason stayed in back this time. Every now and then I'd steal a glance from him and I'd catch him looking at me
At the ice cream shop
After what seemed like a year we finally arrived and entering and ordering our ice creams
"Your still going to eat a second one?" I asked miguel as we all sat down at a table out side
"Yup" he responded biting into his ice cream
We all looked at him with eyes and mouths peeled open
"Ain't no way you just did that Mikey" Mason spoke up in disbelief
Miguel just shrugged it off and we all looked at each other

As we were walking I kept feeling masons hand slightly brush against mine every now and then so I went ahead and slowly held it and intertwined our finger. I looked to him and he was looking at our hands he then looked up to me and smiled so of course I returned the gesture.
I leaned in closer to him and laid my head on his shoulder as we walked holding one another's hand
I Promise you my smile didn't slip once
30 minutes later
We finally arrived to their house and it was now 4:57, me and Mason were cuddling on the couch watching TikTok's while Miguel and Brooke looked at what to eat. Their mom hadn't arrived home yet so they weren't sure of what to do
"We should so watch this rn" I said while watching an edit of the movie Ant man and the Wasp
Mason looked down at the phone and picked up the remote
"BROOKE, MIGUEL, come watch the movie with us" I yelled from the comfort of this gloriou s couch
"We come bearing gifts" Brooke said walking in with a bowl of popcorn and Miguel following behind with candies
"I love you" I said to Brooke taking a Twix from the bag
"Hey your gonna have to give me a bite of that" Mason said as the movie began
"Whatever" I said handing him the candy taking a bite
" hashtag couple goals" Brooke spoke as we both turned red
I rolled my eyes and got comfy but then Mason left? Okay...
"Make some room!!" He said yelling coming back and throwing a blanket onto me
I scooted over and he snuck right next to me and I rested my head on his shoulder
"Y'all better get one of these.." Miguel spoke up
"It's a chicken salad" he finished
"From where?" Mason asked
"81st deli" he said making a slight curve with his finger and placing it over his mouth while placing a sour patch kid in his mouth
"You guys are too funny" I said laughing and they joined in
———— Valerie speaks I wanted to update before thanksgiving cuz I know I was going to be busy but hopefully I can update as-well before Wednesday so I don't go longer than 4 days without posting. Anyway hope you guys are enjoying the chapter so far I had to make it two parts because you'll see.... Nothing to thrilling but not boring nonetheless.
