Chapter 9 - The Final Assualt (part 2)

Jones and Mars pulled away from eachother and gripped one another's hands, running toward the labs power system.

The door was looked with one of the shutters but Jones had a plan. He fired at the door making holes for a crawl space to be made. He kicked the damaged shutter and crawled though.

"Woah-"

Mars confused as to the light that beamed though the gap, crawled though also.

"Oh my-"

The room glimmering with blue light revealed the source of power to IOs bases.

Power cells, housing a unique, strong power source. The source of power was held withing small Jars placed along a giant engine. 4 individual Jars.

The Jars contained the source of power.

That power felt familiar to Mars when looking at the 2nd jar.

The 4 Jars housed 4 small zeropoints.
Damaged, fractured zeropoints.

"Jones- these Jars. They- they hold intergalactic-4's lost realities!" Mars shouted in confusion.
Jones stood there confused at what he saw asked "what does this mean, Mars?"

"It means we can go home." Mars explained.

Jones' confusion became fear. He had just found the love of his life. He didn't want to loose them just like that.

"Jones! What's the hold up? What do you see in there?" Asked the foundation over the radio.

"Jars, Captain. All I See Is Jars." Jones answered

"Shut the power off Sargent we need backup now!" Commanded The foundation.

Mars, nodded to Jones and pressed the power button on the engine Turning it off. The two grabbed the power cells and placed them in a bag and took them to where the otherd were.

With the power off, the shutters had lifted allowing clear passage to where dwayne and the rest were. The mission was almost complete.

"Alright squad let's get to the exfil point and get out of here! Jones take the detonator! When I say, hit that button!" Commanded The foundation.

"Yes sir!" Answered Jones. The squad ran toward the exfil helicopter and blasted the enemies that remained ahead. Its was a clear way home. The 5 got on board and flew toward homebase. The army retreated and the mission was a success.

Almost.

"Alright Jones, you're clear to detonate." Said dwayne. Jones smiled and said "you ready?" To mars. They smiled back "yes I am."

The charges set by intergalactic-4 blew the base of the tower clean off collapsing IOs biggest base housing the zeropoint to thr ground. IO had lost the war in the end.

The squad has all won.

Jones and Mars won love.

El and midas have regained their love.

And dwayne regained his ever growing ego with this win.

This is a victory that will go down in history.
