Dabi groaned and trudged down the hall, into the dining room.
"You look sick," Eri said, scrunching up her nose. "You should go to bed."
"Hush, squirt," he said. "I'm having breakfast with you and ____."
"____'s gonna yell at you," she said.
Dabi rolled his eyes, then he erupted into a coughing fit.
"Ew!" Eri exclaimed.
You popped your head into the dining room. "What's wrong?"
"Dabi is sick," Eri said.
"Snitch," Dabi grumbled.
"You're spreading your germs around the house," you said. "Back to bed, you."
Dabi sat at the table and crossed his arms. "We're having breakfast together."
"No, you're going to march your butt back to bed, and I'll bring you your breakfast."
Dabi coughed again and groaned.
You waved a wooden spoon at him. "Go to bed, now!" You exclaimed.
Dabi groaned and lay on the table. "Too weak to move."
You sighed. His body glowed purple. You used your quirk to move him from the table, and float him to his room.
"Do me next!" Eri exclaimed.
_____________
You sighed and stroked Dabi's hair. He coughed into his shirt and groaned.
"You big baby," you said with a chuckle, smoothing his hair away from his face."
"You got me sick," he grumbled. "I'm not a baby. I've got the plague."
"You don't have the plague," you laughed.
"It feels like the damn plague," he grumbled.
"At least Eri and I are here to nurse you back to health," you said.
"Yeah, my pretty little nurse~" Dabi cooed. "My fiancee."
You rolled your eyes. "Sit up, so I can make you some soup."
Dabi groaned and rolled further onto his bed, burying his head in the pillow. "Hurry back," he said. "Before I die."
You shook your head and left the room.
_____________
You smiled and watched Eri stand on a stool and stir the pot of soup.
"Okay," you said, grabbing a smaller spoon and dipping it into the hot broth. "Now taste it."
Eri blew on the spoon, then tasted it. "It's yummy! Much better than Dabi's soup."
You chuckled. "Yeah, it wasn't very good, but it's the thought that counts."
"Yeah," She chirped. "Now, let's bring the soup to Dabi!"
"Mhm," you hummed with a smile. You poured the soup into a bowl and set it on the tea cart with crackers and a drink. Eri pushed the cart to Dabi's room. You pushed his door open, and he sat up in bed.
"What's this?"
"We made soup!" Eri said with a smile. "To make you feel better, and it's yummy."
You smiled and set the tray of dinner on his lap. "Eat it while it's hot," you said.
"Thanks," Dabi said. A small smile ghosted his face as he looked down at his soup. "Ya know, I've never been treated this way while I was sick. I appreciate it, ____, Eri." He looked at you, then her.
"Neither have I." You chuckled. "There's a first time for everything, though." You smiled and smoothed down your skirt. "I should finish cleaning. I'll check on you again later."
"Okay," he said. "Just leave me here to die alone."
You and Eri laughed.
___________
Later that night, after you tucked Eri back into bed, you checked on Dabi again. He was fast asleep, snoring loudly.
You gently closed the door and walked towards his bed. You set a humidifier down by his bed and turned it on, then you gently put Vicks on his chest and below his nose.
Not long after, he stopped snoring.
You smiled and sat next to him. You stroked his dark hair, trailing your hand down his face affectionately. Dabi looked peaceful while he was sleeping. You let out a soft sigh. 'How the hell did I end up falling for him?' you thought.
You leaned down above him, tucking your hair behind your ear so it didn't tickle his face. You puckered your lips and laid a soft kiss on his forehead. You smiled.
Then, Dabi's eyes shot open. Before you could even react, he cupped your face a placed a soft kiss against your lips. His lips left yours just as fast as they appeared. Dabi stared at you with a grin.
Your face immediately turned red. "I-I didn't know you were awake-"
"I didn't expect you to make the first move, Doll," he said.
"I didn't!" You exclaimed. "You weren't-"
"It's fine," Dabi said. "I'm glad my cute little fiancee kissed me first~"
"Y-you kissed me!" You stuttered. "On the mouth!"
"So?" Dabi said.
Your eyes widened more than before, if possible. "S-So?"
Dabi stared at you. "Was that... your first kiss?"
You deflated, and your hair covered your eyes. Your entire face burned.
"It was, wasn't it?" Dabi said.
"Yeah," you stuttered. "I've never- ya know, been around people long enough to like them." You sighed. "Honestly, I didn't even plan on staying this long."
Dabi lifted your chin with his index finger. "Why did you stay, then?"
"Because," you paused. You looked into Dabi's eyes and sighed. "Because I wanted- no- I want to stay by your side."
Dabi smiled. "Look at you, opening up to me more already."
"Yeah, shut up," you said.
"So, it's safe to say you fell for me before I fell for you," Dabi said with a grin.
"Uh, if you say so," you chuckled. "I've never told you that I fell for you."
"You didn't deny it," he said. "And you wanna stay by my side."
"As your maid." You smiled.
"My maid that kisses me while I'm sick?"
"It was on the forehead! It was wholesome, I do the same to Eri."
"Yeah, but you had a different intention behind it," Dabi said. "Er- a different kind of love, yeah?"
"Whatever. You think way too much into things," you brushed off.
"I just wanna hear you say it," Dabi said. "Tell me you love me."
"I told you, I want to be by your side. Can't that be enough for now?"
Dabi rolled his eyes. "For now, I guess."
You smiled. "Good. Now, you should get some rest."
"Can I get another kiss?"
You sighed and leaned over. Then, you kissed Dabi's cheek and left the room.
