Amity was quite fond of Gravesfield, the citizens were kind and it was a smaller community. She was able to meet a few people and form friendships with them, going to cafés and parks with them.

She hadn't been able to get out of the house recently, though, being worried about Luz all day had taken most of her energy. She felt as if there were a force weighing down on her, keeping her from feeling light-spirited as she usually did.

She had felt like this most of her life, and the feeling coming back so abruptly scared her. It reminded her of her parents, the stresses and heartache they put her through on a daily basis was the cause of most of her anxieties. She had no way out, and the walls were closing in quickly.

Willow had noticed the change in behavior, becoming worried for Amity and her well-being. She constantly wondered what was wrong, but had only recently gathered the courage to ask Amity what was going on.

Willow walked into the room quietly, spotting Amity sitting on the edge of Luz's bed, gently stroking her girlfriends hair.

"How is she doing?" Willow asked in a small, worried tone.

"She could be better." Amity then let her feelings surface on her face, making a distorted expression relaying anxiety and sadness, no doubt due to the state Luz was in. "She's been like this for days, I don't know what to do." Amity's breath caught in her throat, causing her to let out a choked sob.

Willow could see the toll this sickness was taking on everybody. Walking over to Amity and sitting next to her, she placed a hand on her shoulder gently. Willow had to try and get Amity to open up about this.

"It's been hard on everyone, I know you feel as if there's no way out, but there is. Luz is strong, no matter how sick she gets she'll always bounce back. It's just how Luz is." Willow wished she could say these words in confidence, feigning a fake tone to reassure Amity that everything will be okay. The truth is, Willow had no idea if Luz would be able to come back from feeling so horribly.

Sicknesses like this had usually meant death in the demon realm, but humans were different, had different medicine.

Amity glanced over at Willow, offering a small smile. She knew that Willow was pulling all of this out of her ass, just trying to offer words of comfort, but it did work. The presence of a friend and words of support lifted Amity's spirits and hard feelings. She kissed Willow on the cheek and thanked her, making it clear she wanted to be left alone with Luz.

Willow understood, hugging Amity before walking to the door, shutting it behind her quietly.
