THE WALK THERE was filled with smiles and giggles. a few of the members of the team were already cracking jokes, making raquelle feel all warm and fuzzy inside. she loved that it already felt like she was having a reunion with some of her oldest and dearest friends.

she especially loved how berlin kept chuckling(or giving her a side-eye) at her hilarious, and pathetic, attempts at pick-up lines.

"are you sure you're not a model or something 'cause you could honestly pull it off. you could also pull my clothes off." the man only looked at her with an eyebrow raised, shaking his head as the rest of the team laugh their asses off. raquelle had no shame at this very point.

when they made it to the building, it was an abandoned indoor pool building and it seemed like they were gonna have the meeting inside the empty, mossy-looking pool. "prof, how is this better than the abandoned psychiatric hospital i stayed at?" "you stayed at an abandoned psychiatric hospital?" the tall girl asked, incredulously. "well, one, it's not haunted." "and here i was thinking you didn't believe in ghosts." the professor only smiled, "two, this isn't where you'll be staying. there's another building behind this one that has bedrooms which all of you will be staying at for convenience." he gestured for them to jump down into the empty pool. raquelle shrugged and made her way down, landing easily on her feet.

the group gathered around at the middle, sitting on some empty boxes and chairs. "before we start, i want to make this clear." the professor walked to the front and stood in front of all of them, "from now on, regardless of age or where you're from, we'll all speak informally." he took a glance at raquelle who smiled at this, happy that no one would be calling her by her old name. "we'll use code names to call each other instead of using real names." the oldest-looking man with a beard raised his hand, "i can do code names, but what about respect? what's the reason for that?" "it's safer that no one knows. it's out of serious precaution for each other's identity." the professor answers the man's question before picking up a globe.

"how about we use city names?"
