Naruto arrived at the academy and was put on a three person team with Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke, they were to wait for their designated Jonin sensei to arrive and take them away to begin their next step in the shinobi way. As they were left to be the last team as a beautiful Kunoichi Jonin guided team 8 away, Naruto laid his head on his desk and entered his mindscape to continue his training while he waited for the Jonin to arrive.

After two hours the door opened again and a man with a black mask that covered his nose to his neck, long silver hair, and a green flak jacket, signifying his rank as a Jonin. The man's headband covered his left eye. Overall, the man had an aura around him that told you that this is what being cool was like. Naruto was stunned, he didn't know that there was someone in the Leaf that wasn't the Hokage that had this kind of powerful feel to him, he knew he was powerful, he didn't even need Kurama's ability to sense power to figure that out.

"Meet me on the roof." Was all the Jonin said before he disappeared in a puff of smoke. Sakura scrambled out of her seat and ran for the the stairs, with Sasuke and Naruto following.

"Now, why don't you introduce yourselves?"

"Introduce ourselves? What are we supposed to say?" Sakura questioned dumbly.

"Your names, things you like, things you hate, hobbies, dreams for the future, things like that."

"Isn't it common curtsy to introduce yourself first, before asking someone else's name?" Naruto questioned.

The Jonin pointed to himself. "Me? I'm Hatake Kakashi, things I like and things I hate? I don't feel like telling you that. Dreams for the future? I've never really thought about it. And as for my hobbies, well, I have lots of hobbies." All three Genin grumbled at his introduction until he pointed at Sakura, indicating that she should go next.

Naruto tried to ignore Sakura talking about Sasuke through giggles and squeals. Sasuke and Kakashi looked annoyed at the girls introduction as the Jonin pointed for Naruto to go next.

"My name is Uzumaki Naruto, Dattebayo. My hobbies are training and hanging out with my friend, I like training and learning new things that make me a better shinobi, and I hate discrimination of any kind, especially when people judge others because they're different and misunderstood. I also really hate it when I hear bad things about my friend from people that don't know anything about him, it makes me sick. As for my dream-"

Kurama interrupted Naruto to give him some warning and advice. "Don't tell the truth, don't let anyone know about your true dream, they'll true to desuade you."

'You want me to lie, then? Say that I want to be the Hokage?"

"No, Kakashi will see right through you if you lie. But if you tell a partial truth, it should be alright. Say that you wish to find out who your parents were by going through the archives when you're given permission when you reach the proper rank."

"I want to find out who my parents were, I know that they died during the Kyubi attack, but the Hokage won't tell me anymore and I really want to know what kind of people they were, and if they were shinobi or not. Then after that, I hope to have this village acknowledge my existence and that my friend is a good person." Naruto had to be careful not to reveal Kurama's name, he didn't want anyone that hadn't earned the right to know it know, and Naruto didn't want to lose the trust that he earned from Kurama.

The rest of Team 7 was confused about Naruto's mysterious friend, but Kakashi was happy that Naruto found someone to call his friend. It seemed like Naruto was standing up for him as well, maybe this friend was a shinobi that valued his teammates over the success of the mission and was scrutinized for it. It would appear that Naruto already understood the importance of camaraderie.
