Mollie's POV

"Of all the rotten, good for nothing, jerk, asshole things to do he did this!?" Kat exploded, the letter in her hand.

I sighed. "Give him a break." I said.

"A break? You want me to give him a break?" Kat yelled, fuming. "He tells you he doesn't love you, blames you for ruining the relationship, leaves for eight months and tells you he loves you when you get back even though he knows very well that you have a boyfriend?"

A tear slid down my cheek as I pulled my sleeves down over my wrists. "I know." I whispered.

"Mol I'm only looking out for you, you know that right?" I nodded "I just don't want you to get hurt again." She was referring to the month. The month it took me to get out of the house. The month it took me to talk to my friends and family. The month it took me to even talk to the boys. It was the longest month of my life.

"Thank you, you are the best friend a girl could ask for!" I smiled hugging her.

"That's what I'm here for." she smiled.

"I'm going to Zach's, I told him I would play COD with him."

"You hate COD!"

"I know," I said quietly grabbing my keys and walking out the door. I got into my car looking at the clock. 12:37. I still have an hour until I have to be at Zach's but I had to get out. I drove to my favourite place. I pulled into the parking lot of the small park. I pulled my guitar out of the back seat and walked. The park is almost always empty. No one bothers because it doesn't have a fancy swing set or jungle gym. But I think it's perfect.

I sat down beside the small pond watching the ducks float around. Ducks are lucky. They don't need to worry about love or boys or anything. They just float.

I started to strum my guitar.

Hey, Hey, Hey.

I don't like walking around this old and empty house.

So hold my hand I'll walk with you my dear.

The stairs creak as I sleep, it's keeping me awake.

It's the house telling you to close your eyes.

Some days I can't even trust myself.

It's killing me to see you this way.

Cause though truth may vary, this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore.

I heard this song on the radio and immediately fell in love. It's called Little Talks by Monsters and Men. I played it all the time. Zach hated it so I could only play it in my flat when he wasn't there or here.

Cause though the truth may vary, this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore.

A/N listen to the full song over there -->

A beautiful voice harmonized with me for the last line of the song. I put my guitar down and turned around. Niall was standing there wearing jeans and a blue sweater with a black coat covering him from the cold. I hadn't realised it but it started to snow. I guess I was too engrossed in the song.

"That was really good." he said staying a few meters away from me.

"Thanks." I said looking down.

"Did you... um... get my present?" he asked quietly.

"Yes. Thank you, it is beautiful." I said looking at the bracelet on my wrist and pulling my sleeves down.

"Are you cold?" Niall asked getting closer.
