chapter twelve

Simon's POV

I sat in my office starring at the girl, my mouth open. "Mollie that is amazing!" I said.

She blushed saying a quick "Thank you."

I smiled and took the song sheet from her. "You know if you keep up the good work you could get a full time position here right out of college!" I smiled.

"Seriously?"

"Oh course! Come to think of it, we need a producer for the next album. If you can come up with five more songs like this you can promoted from just song writer to producer of a whole album!" I smiled.

"Easy peasy!" she smiled holding Niall's hand.

"With this rate you will have all five done by next week!" Niall laughed. He looked... more cheerier today... actually you know what I don't even want to know!

"Just keep up the good work!" I smiled.

Mollie's POV

Suddenly's Simon's phone rang. "One moment please." he smiled.

I looked at Niall and smiled again gripping onto his hand. A FULL TIME JOB! OH MY FUCKING GOD! This is unreal! Right now I'm just a song writer/assistant producer thing-a-ma-gig. Which basically means I tell them how I think the song should be produced. They either listen or don't. But from what I have heard of their recording of the last song it was great!

"Sorry about that, our opening act just dropped out, got their own tour! So now I have five months to find a new act! Which seems like a long time but we have to audition then record them rehearse!" Simon said sighing with stress.

"Mol could do it!" Niall smiled.

"WHAT? I could not! I don't even have any songs!" I protested.

"What about the one you wrote this morning. I know it wasn't for us." he smiled.

"I don't know"

"Just play me the song and I can tell you how good it is. If you don't want to do it no worries!" Simon smiled.

I sighed "Fine, someone hand me a guitar!" I said holding my hand out as Simon chuckled handing me a beautiful guitar.

I started to softly strum and sing to the song.

I started to beat box. Yeah that's right, Mollie Kendal the rap goddess! ;)

A/N: haha man I love this song! Ok so go this part of the song (3:17) cracks me up every time! :) lol! "They say I'm up and coming like I'm fucking in an elevator" Best line ever! I don't know why I find that so funny but I laugh every time! Ok moving on to the story...

I finished and Simon and Niall were starring at me with their mouths open... why do they keep doing that?

"Holy. Shit." Niall said starring at me.

"Niall, language!" Simon scolded before turning back to me, "You wrote that?" he asked, shocked.

"Um yeah, this morning." I said sheepishly. "What do you think?"

"I think it is amazing! If you can come up with two more songs in a month then you can be the opening act!" Simon smiled.

"Really?" I asked. Simon nodded. "Ok so 5 for 1D and 2 for me. Ok I got this!" I smiled.

Niall squezed my hand and smiled at me as we left Simon's office. "We need to show the guys!" he said pulling me to the other side of the studio where they were recording.

"Everyone listen up!" Niall yelled but the four boys paid no attention to him, but continued texting, and playing games on their phones.

"OK PEASANTS LISTEN UP OR I WILL SHOVE A BANANA UP YOUR-"

"Ok Mol too much information! What do you want?" Harry asked.

"Well first of all here is your song!" I smiled throwing the music sheets into the center of their circle and they all dove for it like it was a million dollar check. "And second of all if you would shut the hell up and stop arguing, you want to hear one of the songs for your opening act?"

"I thought we already had one?" Liam asked confused.

"You DID. They dropped out and I wrote a song for your opening number, want to hear?" I asked winking at Niall. I played the song and they all had the same expression as Simon. 

"Who is opening because only you will be able to sing that song perfectly!" Louis said and I just winked at Niall and smiled at the boys. "HOLY MOTHER OF FUCKER IT'S YOU ISN'T IT!?" Louis yelled.

"You bettcha!" I smiled "Now you are stuck with me for six months on a tour bus!"

"Si should have thought that through for our sake." Harry mumbled. I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it hitting him square in the face.

"Where did you learn how to throw like that?" Zayn asked between laughs.

"Softball." I said simply. "Now you people go record that song," I said pointing to the paper "And I will come up with seven more!"

"Seven?" Zayn asked.

"5 for you, 2 for me! Now shoo!" I said waving my hand, grabbing Niall's guitar and pulling out paper and a pen and setting off to work. The only good thing now is that I don't have to worry about my shifts at Carl's, although I will miss working there, so I can put all my energy into making kickass songs. But oh wait, school. Forgot about that! I still have a month left! Damn!

I really should be studying, finals are in like three weeks... but I'm writing right now and that is sortta the same thing!

I strummed as the boy belted it out in the studio. By the end of the day I had one of their songs completed and half of mine. This is going to be a long four months!
